TRIAL

In the morning, the town comes back to life. Birds crow overhead, a snake nearby hisses, a lingering coyote dips behind a shop before disappearing into the wild. It's a frightening contrast to the stillness of yesterday but it doesn't mean it's over yet. After all, today is the trial. The Sheriff stands on the porch of the Town Hall and brings his hand up to his mouth to let out a whistle. He'll thumb back to the Hall behind him and very clearly state -- "Trial time, folks. Get in here and figure out who did it." And then he'll turn to leave before pausing and adding on, "Bring a snack or somethin' too. The Town Hall is set up more like a court house, a Judge's bench at the front but instead of at center, it's off to the side as if more for observation than participation. There's a table at the front of the room already holding a small box and a pad of papers and pen, for voting apparently. A side room containing only a metal gurney is next and today it's obvious why there's a gurney there at all with the corpse, resting right on top of it. Aside from that, there are rows for everyone to take a seat and it's only after everyone is inside and settled, that the doors close and the Sheriff speaks. "Well, have at it. You've got till nine." And then, he points to a clock on the wall that reads 12:00. Good luck. Welcome to the trial post! Characters are free to discuss everything related to the trial here. alibis part two: electric boogaloo

All right, everyone, listen up!

[Sei and Xion are fired up and both of them are ready to be obnoxious. So sorry for everyone's lives.]

Now that we know the murder could have happened any time between Thursday night and when we found Miss Ao, it's even more important that we establish our alibis! So I'll ask you again - and again and again if you don't answer - what were all of you doing between sundown on Thursday and when we found Miss Ao on Friday?

I spent the night in my room, with Tarvek. He can vouch for me. In the morning, I got up and headed to the kitchen, but it didn't take me long to notice all of the sounds were missing and everything. So I decided to search the hotel. That's when I ran into Noctis, and ... um, him. [ points. at. wherever ash is. ]

By the time we left the hotel, I'm ... pretty sure people discovered what was going on at the saloon.

Took Umbra for a walk, grabbed some food from the General Store [it was cup noodles, obviously)] and settled in my room for the night. Fell asleep before curfew, came downstairs after I woke up to check out things. First people I saw were Xion and Ash.

[both of whom could confirm his grogginess. and ash is also his roomie so.

[ Honestly, Chane isn't thrilled by this, but she understands the necessity of the question. Her answer is written down, torn out of her notepad, and all but pushed into Sei's hand. ]

I spent the night in my room. That morning, I had breakfast with Felix before investigating, and I met up with Hannibal at the train station. We went to the graveyard together.

I was in the hotel, mostly in my room. It isn't as though there's a thriving nightlife here.

[Not to mention the lockdown.]

I left around the same time as most, the following morning. I'm sure my roommate will vouch for that.

[At least that she'd been in their room all night, and hadn't left early.]

And then I went to the saloon, Misters Eliot and Ezio were with me the entire time until the body was discovered.

Spent the night in my room. Headed to the kitchen for breakfast after I woke up. The whole [vague hand gesture???] ambiance felt wrong, though, so I stepped out to see what was up. I bumped into Ana along the way, and that's when we checked out the Sheriff's Station.

I was in my hotel room when the doors were locked. Percy saw me there, too. I slept late the next morning [ YOU BETTER BELIEVE HE REGRETS THAT NOW ] but got to the graveyard just as the coffin was being dug up.

I was in my room all night long, which my roommate - [she points at Eliot] can confirm starting from the time he got into the room. In the morning, when everything seemed off, I followed Shinnosuke to the church because I wanted to make sure he wasn't doing anything weird. We saw the graveyard from there, and that's where I... uh... broke the window and went through it to meet up with everyone.

...it seemed like a good idea at the time!

Spent the night in, then hit up the tailor shop first thing when things were weird in the morning. I saw Sara there, and we went to the graveyard after that since we found a whole lot of nothing.

I remained in my room for the majority of the evening as well, aside from fetching water for Constantine. [The dog is most important.]

My roommate, Mi-- [WAIT NOT MISS] --Lust was also there.

In the morning, shortly after leaving my room, I investigated the situation with Young Percy.

I was gonna drink in my room, but that's no fun doing alone, so I went looking for my roommate-- that'd be Will. And when I found him, he was with his intense-looking friend so I thought, well, the more the merrier! So we had a drinking session in the lounge instead.

... I think I maybe had a rant about how hardly anyone was single here, and like, Will's dog was my only friend, and then I probably fell asleep. I woke up and Will and I were back in our room.

I was in the hotel when the doors closed. Spent most of the evening in my room. Didn't sleep all that much, but I was there. [He nods over to Sei.] My roommate and I can vouch for each other for that part, at least.

Got up as early as I could the next morning. Joined up with some of the others later to check out the saloon.

Thursday night I spent at the hotel with my girlfriend and my roommate. [And judging by his expression, it amuses him a lot.] We had dinner, hung out, that sort of thing. We didn't have a reason to head out before the doors locked so we made a couple of rounds to see who else was in for the night. Later we ended up going back to mine and Harry's room and Annabeth hung out with us and we sort of fell asleep? When Annabeth and I realized something was up we got up and headed out but I didn't want to wake up Harry so he stayed with my dog.

[Sorry bro.] Annabeth and I went separate ways. She met up with Sara at the tailor's and Mr. Barnham and I checked out town hall.

I spent my night in my room, and when I woke up had breakfast. Then I spent most of my day reading by the lake, and when I returned followed the crowed gathering at the graveyard.

I was in my room with my roommate for the noght, and in the morning I went to the general store and met antenna lady. Nothing was amiss, so we checked the boarded up stores around town. No one tried to get into them, they're still closed.

...Thievery is bad. So are empty stomachs making you think stealing someone's breakfast is a good idea. That's why we were late to catch up with everyone at the graveyard, she made sure we ate something.

I returned to my hotel room at 9 PM and slept there, with Yuna. She can confirm my presence and I hers. In the morning, I left the hotel without Yuna to find breakfast at the general store. There, not even five or ten minutes after leaving, I met a blond man with whom I proceeded to investigate the town.

He stole my bag of chips.

Either way, after that incident, I saw there was a commotion at the graveyard and gathered there with everyone else. Ao's body had been discovered by then.

I was in my room with Right-Hand Tachi-- er, my roommate [an awkward motion to Higekiri]-- taking down some notes on this place. After I woke up, probably around ten, I left and found everything quiet.

Let's see: I gathered a few supplies and headed back to the hotel because I didn't feel like discovering what death via coyote is like. That's pretty scary, you know? Then I spent the night in my room.

As for what I did in the morning... well, I'm sure someone here can verify, since I'm apparently a very suspicious person.

After spending the night in my room with Granny Ana, I went out that morning to have breakfast with my beautiful wife Chane. They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, which is true, but as for me, I can't start my day without seeing her smile. I suppose if you were to look at life itself, then I think love is the metaphor for breakfast. Life starts with love!

I've been making food for everyone in the hotel's kitchen every night at 4 pm. I ate and cleaned up after and then retired.

When you found Ao, Jason and I were at the Sheriff's station investigating the cells.

I was asleep for most of it. I even woke up late.

I went to my room when the jerk locked us in and fell asleep!

And then in the morning when everything happened, I checked the lake and then met up with everyone else when the bo... when Ao was found.

I was in my hotel room playing with Money. Shinnosuke came home that night, too!
