INVESTIGATION

The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this: One of your own is gone. And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate. Welcome to the investigation post! If your character decides to search an area, please post the name of the location in your header and wait for the mod replies. Anything to discover or not to will be indicated during the course of the thread. After the body is discovered, an announcement will be made and characters are free to spend the rest of the afternoons how they like. But she wants to check here first, just... because she hasn't had much of a reason to yet, and she's certain she'll Find Out if otherwise. ]

[He'll open the door and check out the church as well, though he blinks in surprise upon seeing Rin.]

...hey. [What's going on here, anything?]

[ Schrodinger's Jason.

The church looks just the same as it always does though. ]

[glaring]

Good morning.

[ Well.

That's good news, at least. ]

[hydrokinetics]

[With the church quiet and not full of dead people, he relaxes a fraction.]

It's Rin, right? We haven't really had a chance to meet. [He looks back to the church door.] How early were you up this morning?

[glaring]

[ She's nodding. ]

I didn't go to sleep yet, so I left my room when everyone else was.

[ She can sacrifice one night of sleep if it means she isn't going to die on Friday mornings.... ]

[hydrokinetics]

Not a bad idea given how everybody was acting last night. [He shakes his head though.] Rumor right now is that Jason's missing from the stocks. [He got a late start okay and also they can probably see the stocks from the church's entrance if I can read the map right.]

[glaring]

[ ...she's making an annoyed tsk. ]

Of course he is. [ Her sarcasm. ] He couldn't have been put in there for nothing.

[hydrokinetics]

When I talked to him yesterday he said he woke up there. The Sheriff picked him up out of his room, moved him, and locked him up without waking anybody else up. Kind of makes the chances of something bad happening to him even worse. [He shakes his head.] What do you think? Wanna keep moving? The church looks okay for now.

[glaring]

He was fine when I went to tell him about the camera, so... he must have disappeared after then.

[ One last look around, and then she's nodding. ]

We might as well.

[hydrokinetics]

[There's almost a grateful smile.]

Thanks for taking the risk to keep him updated. [He may or may not be kind of fond of Jason, even if he's a butthead sometimes. That's concerning, but still. With that, he's nodding toward the door and turning to walk, waiting for her to follow.] Let's go check around town. Last time clues were spread kind of everywhere. And with everybody else up they may have found something already, too.

[glaring]

Y-you don't need to thank me. It's what any normal person would have done!

[ Rin awkwardly rubs the back of her hand, then hurries out the door. ]

Let's hope they all found nothing like we did.

[hydrokinetics]

Okay, but have you met some of the people here? [Please consider that. But on that note there's a sound of confirmation.] Right. Let's hope. [And off they go to figure out what's going on. Good job, kids.]
