The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this:
One of your own is gone.
And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate.

We're okay. I'm sorry, we didn't want to worry anyone... [She sighs, more trying not to yawn again.] Milla and I didn't want Jason to be by himself last night, though, so we stayed outside, and the sheriff didn't like that...

Robin, please don't yell... [ugh jason yelled at her too let her live!!!! But she is taking him seriously; she meets his eyes and there's a certain sort of sternness in her expression even though she's upset. She still speaks very softly, trying not to wake her cellmates.]
He couldn't move much at all on his own. I know he's tough, but what would have happened if someone was sneaking around, or some coyotes showed up? [She frowns, turns to where Jason is asleep on her, then back to Damian.] I'm sorry. I really didn't want to worry anybody, and I know Milla and Jason wouldn't have wanted to, either. But he was all alone, and I was scared for him.
[A slow, careful breath, and then:] I wouldn't have done this if I didn't think I could take care of myself, too.

Todd can handle himself. He looks and acts stupid, but he's not. [Also, surprisingly, Damian is actually Damianified today. He lacks the suit people have typically seen him in, regardless of whether or not they matched "Damian Wayne" to the Robin persona.]

[so she's a weird sort of grateful to have him drooling on her instead of, y'know, being dead.]
I'm really sorry I worried you. You don't have to forgive me, but Milla came along because of me, and Jason didn't do anything wrong, so please don't be mad at them.
