It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

So unlike Chane, who is totally polite and knocks, Barnham just kind of
Strides over there and flings the door open.
Sup.]

hi barnham. ]

He's immediately stepping forward, making sure the horse is steady and stable and reaching out to do the same for Xion.]
What...is the meaning of this?
[the hell is going on]
no subject
Hey, Mr. Barnham. [Yeah he's. Disturbed too.] Would you believe us if we said we woke up like this?
no subject
... Sadly, I would.
[...]
What do you intend to do with this horse?
no subject
If we knew, do you think we'd be in here yelling about it?
[ also he still hates you ]
no subject
I just ... wish I knew how it got here.
[ Faintly. She's troubled, though trying not to show it too much. ]
no subject
... Indeed. Perhaps that is something we shall have to take up with the Sheriff. Nothing that happens out of the ordinary here can in the least be good.
[And, to all of them:]
Would you like my assistance with this horse? If nothing else, it should be led outside.
no subject
I'll ask him later, probably. [Once they figure out how the fuck to get it out of here.] We don't know how he got into the room to get a horse in here in the first place and that's just disturbing. [A shake of his head though.]
...that'd be awesome, but how are we going to get it out of here and back down the stairs?
no subject
Any way we could coax it down? I can't imagine it likes being in here. [ a beat. ] ... We're going to have to carry it, aren't we.
no subject
A ramp would be most plausible, should we be able to fashion a makeshift one down the stairs. Perhaps if some wood could be found?
[this is the old west, there must be some planks of wood somewhere, right...]
Let us not resort to carrying a horse just yet.
no subject
[ Xion frowns consideringly. ]
We could ask the Sheriff... [ the most unpopular suggestion ] Or see if we can use anything that was taken off the clinic.

[according to squee anyway.]
I shall go fetch some, if you three believe you shall be fine with this horse.
no subject
I think we'll be okay. We were just surprised.

[he has Abs.
But with that, he'll turn to go fetch some wood. IT'LL PROBABLY TAKE HIM AWHILE so have fun with your horse.]
no subject
So...what do we do in the meantime? It's probably hungry.
[ So he probably just answered his own question. ]
no subject
I would ask it, but you and I both know why that doesn't work here. [Fucking Sheriff.] I could probably head down to the general store and figure something out if you and Xion want to stay here and wait for Mr. Barnham?
no subject
How about I go down to the general store while you and Xion wait for Mr. Barnham?
no subject
[ jeez. well, not that she doesn't know why. ]
Do you both want to go? I'll be okay. For a horse, he's pretty nice company.
[ She's smiling a little, back to, you know, horse hugging without a Barnham tree to lean against. ]

Alright. I'll be quick about it. Be...careful? [ Thanks, Whole Ass, for getting him to the point where he can't even trust a horse not to violently murder his friends when his back is turned.
He heads for the door. POTTER OUT. ]
