[ WEEK FOUR ]

WEEK FOUR

CURRENT POPULATION: 28

It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.

... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!

After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to [plurk.com profile] robowest.

[ He nods lightly in agreement, though it comes with a breathed out laugh with a sarcastic edge. ]

That's quite true. In retrospect, we wasted far too much time assuming guilt instead of innocence.

[ Unless Nui really did kill Annabeth or Riku in which case, fuck you Nui!! Hannibal believes in you now so don't prove him wrong in death.

He's about to make a wry joke about Barnham's own past being rather fitting for the past week (though he doesn't believe Barnham was responsible at all), but the gratefulness gets him to reconsider. He's not the first one to say so, and so Hannibal doesn't look terribly surprised, but he does duck his head humbly. ]

What would be the wrong way to take it? [ He smiles more, then sighs ] I'm glad my skills could come in handy. For being rusty with my surgical skills, I'm glad that they hadn't escaped me. I just hope that I won't have to conduct any more, admittedly.

[ LOOKS DIRECTLY AT JASON AND SHINNOSUKE???? ]

[too bad shinnosuke won't be looking back

(Hannibal's also not wrong about the witch burning being an unfortunate theme of the week but Barnham's grateful nonetheless that it doesn't come up.)]

I would not wish this situation on anyone, certainly. [So don't think he wants Hannibal to be stuck in a game of murder. That'd be pretty shitty.]

I fear...that would be optimistic, though naturally I shall hope so as well. We have some very reckless souls here.

[ Hannibal sighs, but even in that sigh, there's a note of agreement. Reckless was perhaps putting it lightly, because personally? He'd be content enough to be more patient after seeing other lose limbs, but he knows Barnham is right. He'd almost expect people to go recklessly charge somewhere today.

Hannibal thinks, while looking in the camera like he's in The Office. ]

Unfortunately, you're probably right. I like keeping my skills sharp, but... This isn't what I'd have in mind.

[ He smiles wryly as he looks to Barnham, and he gives him a small nod. ]

For my own sanity and their well-being, if you hear anyone planning on something reckless, try and discourage it.

... Naturally, I shall do my best to do so.

Unfortunately, I have my doubts as to what it shall do.

[Their reckless ones are... kind of just.

Intensely so.]

[ YEAH THEY GODDAMN ARE. GOD!!! ]

...As do I. I'd like to think that the younger among us would have learned from others' mistakes, but unfortunately, youth also comes with an unwarranted sense of immortality.
