CURRENT POPULATION: 28 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts. This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. [ Where's Sara today? Besides the saloon, it looks like she's heading for the homestead though if she meets your gaze and you're someone who admitted you had absolutely no gun experience, she's tilting her head expectantly. ]

I may or may not regret this, but if you want a shooting lesson, I actually have time.

[ What a weird concept, time. If you know how to shoot a gun, well, she'll salute you with her pistol anyway. ]

[ At some point through-out the week, Chane pops in to the saloon for a bit, ostensibly to keep Sara company. She's even trying beer! It tastes... thoroughly unpleasant, and she's nobly biting back a gag with every mouthful.

So what's going on, friend? ]

Chane, you know, you don't have to drink it.

[ Please stop, you look like you're in pain. ]

[ How dare you tell her to stop! YOU'RE NOT HER MOTHER. ]

[ For real, though, the face she makes after every mouthful is far from her usual stateliness. A bit relieved by Sara's mercy, Chane offers her the half-drank bottle. ]

[ Sure, she'll take it. ]

It's a bit of an acquired taste, anyway.

[ In the meantime, Chane will get busy pouring herself a glass of wine. Much better! ]

Where I come from, the sale and consumption of any kind of alcohol is still illegal. [ That's more of a "when" thing than "where", unless you're from some utterly alien universe. ]

He is a character, that's for certain. I'm fond of him despite his overt shadiness.

I won't deny that Alvin is, deep down, a good-hearted individual. But when you first meet him, he comes off as very suspicious. And sometimes the actions he takes are a little. . . suspect.

Are you sure that's a good idea? This place is gettin' pretty volatile as it is.

At this point, it's pretty clear it's only going to get worse either way. And I'm not about to deny someone a chance to learn how to defend themselves, even if there's a chance they'll misuse it.

[ Still sees no flaws in the eternally single Sara. ]

[If the offer's being made, Lust isn't foolish enough to deny it. She's at a disadvantage, not being able to protect herself.]

[Lust nods and pats her bag. She hasn't loaded it, or taken to carrying it in an easily accessible fashion, but she's not going to leave it lying about.]

It didn't seem to prudent to just leave it in my room, whether or not I've any intention of using it.

Fair enough. The rule of hand is always keeping a weapon close by anyway.
