It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.

... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!

After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

[Hell, okay, that gets a slight smile out of Eliot. Cooking's one of the few skills he can be really proud of in polite company. And it's nice to have it be appreciated.

Currently he's working on... well, a bunch of different things have been cooked, but he just finished some filet mignon among that. Some fish dishes, too. Geez, is he trying to feed the whole town?]

Help yourself. [He nods over to some of the plated dishes.] No one's waitin' on these or anything, so it's fine.

[noct is undoubtedly a bit baffled by that. it's a lot of food—a lot of quality food to be made for nobody in particular.

he's undecided on what he wants to try—it all looks so good, but he's pretty partial to fish (whether it's catching them or eating them, apprently), so that's what he'll spring for after some deliberation.]

[Eliot just shrugs at that. He twirls his knife a little as he starts chopping up some more vegetables.]

Makin' it for whoever the hell is around. Figure enough people will wander by to eat everything.

Can't argue that. Not like a lot of people are cooking like this for themselves, anyway.
