It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.

... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!

After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

[ The post office seems to have repaired itself overnight. The building is back in order but lacking any boarded up windows or doors and there's no hint of the fire or creatures that roamed through it before. The teller booths are empty and the letterboxes seem undisturbed.

It's just a post office now, and it seems there's been a delivery. On Thursday, actual letters hand-written and sealed can be found in specific mailboxes. A closer look shows that everyone in town has one, even the dead. Maybe check to see if something's in yours today? ]

[ he spends a good while turning the letter and envelope over, looking for some kind of clue, explanation, or anything even moderately helpful, but finds nothing. Just that it's apparently from Nui. His first instinct is to believe that it's been faked - after all, they were all fairly certain that she was dead, and that they'd even found her skull. And a dead person can't write a letter. That being said, he's a dead person, and he's standing here reading one.

So maybe he's wrong, and death is somehow less permanent than he'd realized, which would turn almost everything he's ever known on its head. He'll have to figure it out after he's done with this mess. For now, he flips the letter over, takes a pencil, and writes a response. His handwriting is blocky and a little hard to read.
