CURRENT POPULATION: 28 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts. This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. [ When everyone wakes up on Thursday morning (or around 5AM, at least), they'll find Shinnosuke Arisu currently locked up in the stocks. There's no lock keeping him in place but no matter what, the wooden stocks don't seem to budge. Looks like he's just stuck there for a while. ]

[As soon as he heard who was in the stocks, he knew a certain someone would have a complete and total fit. Rather than let her risk hurting herself in an attempt to get to him, Percy swings by the clinic before making his way out to the stocks. He's carrying Xion in his arms and avoiding touching her injuries, letting her arms loop around his neck to stay balanced as they approach.

For a moment, he waits...before remembering Shinnosuke won't be able to see them. Right. There's that.]

Hey man. Xion's with me, too.

[ceded]

[ Yeah, she's not happy. She wasn't really expecting to see him yesterday, and considering her barrage of none-too-happy visitors, she wasn't even that mad that he didn't come by.

But come this morning she started to get restless, and just ... wanted to see him.

The news coming down that Shinnosuke would be rather indisposed and would be unable even if he wanted to (which he wouldn't) had, well.

Caused her to immediately want to go to him, seriously broken leg or no.

So she curled up willingly in Percy's arms for the ride, grateful beyond words that he even thought to offer, though it'll be tough to tell through that frown on her face. ]

Shinnosuke!

[ She doesn't unloop both arms from Percy's neck just yet, as she'd have a tough time standing when he put her down, but one of her hands immediately goes out like she'll reach for him. Which is stupid and which she aborts once she realizes what she's doing and, well, at least he couldn't see her do it. ]

Are you okay? I...

[ God. She wants to do something for him, anything, but there's nothing she can do on her own. Percy would have to do it for her and--

feeling helpless is brutal. ]

[Are you kidding him. He was hoped that Xion would be too busy recovering to even learn that he was in the stocks, but that was too much to hope for, apparently.

He turns his head to where he figures Percy is, based on his voice.]

Watch out. You might be in here next week, you know? [...] And why the hell did you bring Xion here, anyway?

[She's the last person he wanted to see him like this. Her reaction, after all, was predictable enough.]

[Well. Looks like Jason was horribly wrong about Shinnosuke not being the next victim.

With Shinnosuke blind and Jason functionally mute, Shinnosuke's going to have to guess once again if someone's manhandling him or if it's Jason tugging at his hand. He'll... try to make it easier for him by making some noises over here, enough that he might hopefully recognize the tone.

Sorry that the stocks, buddy.]
