 CURRENT POPULATION: 28
It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.
This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to robowest. |

MILLA WHY
After realizing that she's probably still there since he can't hear any footsteps leaving, he sighs.]
It's not even nighttime yet... I think. [He actually has no way of knowing???] There's no reason for you to be sticking around.

[the way she says asshole is like. . . it's obvious it's not a word she's used to using??? it sounds weird on her tongue]
It isn't nighttime, no. It's morning. But you'll be incredibly vulnerable once the sun does set.

[Come on, Milla, the town is named Whole Ass!!]
Gee, thanks. That hadn't occurred to me at all, you know? But considering the state you're in [all he knows is she's injured but whatever], it's not as if you'll be of any use to me.

[she didn't name this town that was Jason!!]
As much as I hate to admit it, you're right. [darn that rude cannon in the gunsmith] But I can't just leave you by yourself, either. I may not be in top condition, but I'm still armed and mobile.
[but if she tried to fight someone in this condition they'd probably just have to blow on her to knock her over]

Don't be an idiot. If the murderer—or murderers—this week do decide to go after me, you're just giving them another easy victim. We don't need two deaths when there can just be one.
There's a time and place for bravado, and this isn't it.

[even Maxwell knows there are some fights she can't win]
Then there must be someone else who can stay out here with you. Someone who isn't injured.

[at least, that's what she's internally hoping for]

[and now she's worried about Yuna, since. she KNOWS her roommate]
Your pessimism is starting to rub off on me. [why!!] And it's making me worry.

[sighs!! and then immediately coughs, because that was a heavy breath and that kind of hurt even through the painkillers]

I'm not going to turn it into a competition.
[plus HE'S THE ONE STUCK IN THE STOCKS, Milla can at least lock her room]

I make no promises.
Yuna follows her heart, and even I can't dissuade her from doing what she feels is right. If anything, I can only make sure she takes adequate protection with her.

Guess that's the best anyone can do for an idiot like her.

. . . and frankly, neither do I.
[aw Shinnosuke she's worried]

Someone's going to die this week. It's just a matter of whether our killers will be pragmatic and go after the easiest target—me—or if they have another one in mind.

[her voice is deceptively light]

[Not that he has much of that in this situation, but he's not exactly thrilled over the idea of other people getting hurt for his sake.]
no subject
[she definitely gets not wanting others to be hurt for his sake, but. yeah. the stocks are a pretty powerless situation. even more powerless when one takes into account Shinnosuke's injuries from the other day]

You think sounding an alarm would even achieve anything?
no subject
You didn't answer my question. Is it truly so difficult to trust and believe in someone else's strength for even a short period of time?
no subject
[Yeah, he's not answering that question, for a variety of reasons. Milla can take his silence however she will.]
