CURRENT POPULATION: 28 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts. This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. [Are you kidding him. He was hoped that Xion would be too busy recovering to even learn that he was in the stocks, but that was too much to hope for, apparently.

He turns his head to where he figures Percy is, based on his voice.]

Watch out. You might be in here next week, you know? [...] And why the hell did you bring Xion here, anyway?

[She's the last person he wanted to see him like this. Her reaction, after all, was predictable enough.]

[There's a shrug which is ineffective.]

Yeah, maybe. [He doesn't sound too worried about it. Maybe he would have preferred that.] You say that like she wouldn't have tried to walk out here on her own when she heard the news. There wasn't much I could do to stop her.

[Other than he's the one who offered to pick her up, whoops.]

Percy gets kind of a Look, a flustered little frown and no comment. Don't doxx her like this, dude. ]

He isn't wrong, [ she'll say to Shinnosuke, mulish and upset. ] Of course I'm going to worry! I couldn't just not do anything. Can we get something for you...?

[You all suck. Unfortunately, he could see Xion doing that, so he supposes he can't blame Percy too much... except he totally can, so he will.]

No. Why does everyone keep asking that? The answer is no.

Think we should get him some food and water? How could we cover him from the sun?

[A smirk that Shinnosuke can't see. It's enough that Xion can tell he's probably joking.]

I don't know, Xion. Shinnosuke could probably use a tan. [And a more playful smile at her.] Plus how's he gonna eat? Unless you're feeding him.

[ Her body shakes with silent laughter and briefly she leans her head on his shoulder. You're the best, Percy.

Shinnosuke gets a Look too, not that he can see it, but like, it's the principle of the thing. ]

[A tiny flinch at the word "burn", but he keeps his easygoing demeanor up for Xion.]

... All right, so I get why Xion's being stubborn, but you too? Geez, what is this? Are you teaming up on me?

[ being that she's chilling out in his arms, she feels the flinch, and it takes her a second.

Well. Rather than make it worse by pressing it or somehow bringing it up, she lets it go, but makes a mental note to apologize later. ]

[He just sort of schools his expression to one of nonchalance.]

The last time I wasn't stubborn enough, we ended up with murder number three. [He can talk clinically about Annabeth's death and just freak out about it later, it's fine.] So yeah. Teaming up. Xion and I function pretty well as a team anyway.

[... Well, it's a good thing even he's not enough of a douche to touch the subject of Annabeth's death in this way, so he just sighs.]

Whatever, fine. How nice for you two. [...] Despite what Xion thinks, though, I'm really not going to starve just by being out here for a day or two.
