CURRENT POPULATION: 8 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts. This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. WANTED POSTERS

On the pinboard in the railroad station, three posters have been chosen at random to list under the "Most Wanted" sign. Any character that passes the board by today can spot them, faces posted for all to see. This week's Most Wanted are:

He's not doing much this week, just spending most of his time sitting in his rocking chair and looking oddly melancholy. Huh. ]

POST OFFICE

[ Oh but, wait. He can be found on Monday morning, burning down the Post Office. Torch in hand, the Sheriff just lights points of it on fire to carefully keep it from spreading. He's only got the one target, is all. ]

[ As of Monday morning, Rin Tohsaka seems to be missing. ]

[Six weeks ago, Barnham probably would've rushed over to the post office, full of righteous indignation, and tried to stop the fire. Now, when he gets there, it's basically too late, and he's too tired to really fight it anyway. He just stares blankly at the burning post office, and then sighs.

And his shoulders slump. He doesn't even have anything to say to that.

[He can also be found roaming the town--he seems to be looking for people in particular?

Yeah.

He's trying to get a head count. It's kind of hard to tell who's missing when there are only 8 people spread over an entire town, okay........

As soon as he sees someone, he seems to mentally tick them off a list, nodding to them briefly and grimly.]

[all semblance of caring about trying to actually discover things has been replaced with exhausting and just wanting to bring the game to an end in the safest way possible.

not that he won't help if prompted.

but noct seems to be spending his afternoons sitting out on a porch, napping in the sun. sometimes umbra is at his feet, sometimes not. he's definitely more worn down and even scruffier than before (which probably isn't saying much for his 20-year old baby face, but he's probably aged 10 years in these last six weeks anyway).

[otherwise, it seems noct has kind of given up on the notion of preparing anything to eat aside from cup noodles.

[he really has no energy to do anything but stare at this and sort of stare at the fire like, "seriously?"]

[Strangely subdued and quiet, Percy finds himself spending most of his time now following Annabeth's advice and walking Mrs. O'Leary around town. He can also be found on the porch of the hotel with a stick that he'll throw for her to play fetch. The dog is willing, but Percy seems to be doing it for her entertainment more than his own.

Of course he notices the post office. He feels his heart sinking, but at the same time...he wonders. He can't bring himself to try and stop it, knowing that this town will do as it wishes. He just hopes that his letters got through.

Regardless, you can find him either just staring at the town or Mrs. O'Leary will bring her stick to you to throw.]

[Alternatively, he can be found sitting on the dock at the lake. Mrs. O'Leary naps in the sun and Percy seems to be trying to skip rocks across the surface. This lake is tainted now. The whole town is tainted, but it's too depressing to stay there. So he remains here. For anyone who appears, they may hear him say:]

You know...now would be a good time for your once-a-year appearance.

[But that's all. He just seems disappointed more than anything.]

[ if you're on the second floor of the hotel, you may notice two familiar figures sitting in front of will and hannibal's old room. the first is winston, who is laying down in front of the door. occasionally he will move his paw forward and scratch at the door before settling back down.

the second familiar sight will be papika, who's clearly trying to coax him over. she even has a can of the fancy dog food?? winston will occasionally go over and lick her, but every time he just settles back in front of the door. sad. ]

[ otherwise, you might find her standing in front of the cinema. papika is mostly just staring at the entrance with an odd sort of expression on her face. every now and then she'll reach towards the door handle to go inside, but then she'll pull back and just go back to looking at it instead. ]

I left the option to communicate open as a kindness. They repeatedly took advantage of it. So, I ain't gonna let them send letters anymore. Ya can't play with your toys, I take 'em away.

...Seems like an excessive way to do it, but okay.

[Damian is nowhere to be found most of the week. He'll pop up here and there occasionally: heading to his room before curfew; or trotting through town in the early morning or late evening atop the beige horse, coming and going from the direction of the homestead.

Wednesday night a few hours before curfew, anyone near the church or going into the church can hear the tinkling of a bell occasionally.

In the front pew on the far right sits, quietly, a boy that barely reaches shoulders over the back of the seat. His feet touch the ground only because he isn't sitting back; his arms are draped over his thighs, fingers laced between his knees. Sometimes, there's a tight meow, fussy, in the pew beside him, and then the same tinkling that must be a cat's name tag.]

And then I got caught. But after that Mimi had the baby, and I tried taking them both again but it didn't really work out that time...

Ah-- good. This outfit is practical and nonrestrictive; that's why I approved it when my Handmaid first presented it to me.

But I've been wondering for weeks now why my poster says I've "violated many fashion laws."

[well, he guesses that probably makes sense, even if he was pretty lucky in that he got to dress according to his own tastes most of the time, despite his title.

Probably for the same reason mine said something about using enough hair product to wipe out an entire aisle of hair products.
