CURRENT POPULATION: 40 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts. This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Ah, yes. You're Round 364. Once a year like clockwork. Pretty simple.

Okay, simple, sure. But that doesn't answer my question. Why us? You picked forty people at random? Doesn't seem like it'd make for that interesting of a game.

[sheriffexe]

Nah, it does. You'd be surprised what forty people in one space would do to one another. We've had themed rounds, sure, but this isn't one of them other than the setting.

Maybe not that surprised, but I want to think people aren't going to immediately snap. [He spends his summers with the same people every year, he should know it's not always tragedy.] Did you decide it wouldn't be a themed round, or did your employers? And if we're doing this...I mean. How much of what we do is going to change what you guys decide?

[sheriffexe]

They won't. Takes a bit of time. Usually needs a sacrifice first. Pretty easy to get if you're willing.

I don't decide that kinda thing, kid. They do and they just wanted a Wild West themed. Type of participants wasn't a priority this time.

And y'all can change just about anything while within the game. As long as it's part of the game, it works. Someone's gotta die, usually, but how you go about the rest... that's up to you.

Usually. [He's keeping all of this in mind and nodding along.] Right...okay. One last thing. What'd you do with the stuff we had on us before we woke up here?

...fine. I will. [He'll just do it by his own rules, but that's all he has to say before he's turning and walking away, his dog at his heels as always.]
