It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.

... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!

After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

[ Ha. Hahaha. He didn't know what he was expecting to hear, but it wasn't this. He listens to the others' questions, keeps his temper in check - for the moment, anyway - before he asks his own. ]

If you're so keen on us killing each other, why keep us from using magic? [ secrecy statutes be damned right now tbh ] I'd figure you lot would find that much more entertaining.

[ Bitter. So bitter. But if he can figure out how to get his magic working again maybe he can find a way for them - all of them - to get to safety before anyone has to die. ]

Gotta do it by your own hands, kid. How is someone who has no abilities going to be able to kill someone with abilities? Ain't quite fair. So, everyone's on the same playing field now and will be until their death.

Right, because this is all about fairness, clearly. [ Ludicrous. ] Does that mean we'll not be on the same playing field after death?

[ He is 98% being sarcastic, but he also heard what the Sheriff had said to Sara about death not necessarily permanent. ]

You won't but there's no point in using those abilities to kill each other afterwards, is there? It's just to make you more at ease while you're dead.

How touching. And then what? What happens when this is all over?

[ In the scenario where they "play the game" to the end like they're supposed to. ]

Depends how it ends. If no one's done the work to make the final decision, then I guess I'll ask where all y'all individually want to end up and grant you it based on your participation within the game. Back in time, forward in time, new universe, whatever. Once had someone wish they were never born, gave it to 'em as a reward. Maybe they're happier now, I don't know.

[ The rewards he's offering are incredulous. A new universe? That didn't even make any sense. But Harry could see the futility in pointing that out. The sheriff will tell them whatever he was told to say, no matter how untrue it might be. ]

[ Xion can't help speaking up at that, staring at Harry with wide, curious eyes. Someone else... knows magic...!
