[ WEEK ONE ]

WEEK ONE

CURRENT POPULATION: 40

It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.

... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!

After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to [plurk.com profile] robowest.

cherrypuncher: (and when we go we won't go slow)

c!!

[Yuna loves the homestead, but she doesn't get to visit it all that often; it's so far away, and there's so much for her to do in the town with everyone else, and the hike tires her out more than she really wants to admit—but she's made it there today! And it's not like she means to startle Eliot when she notices him hanging out with the horses from where she's crouched in the flower fields, but rarely are tiny teenagers popping out of the flowers and hollering and waving expected.]

Mist—Eliot! Hiii!

[Eliot is... well, startled isn't really the right word. It's hard to startle him, it barely ever happens. His guard is up too much for that. So he doesn't jump or anything. But he does look over awfully quick and the surprise in his expression is pretty clear, brief as it is.

She was hidden with the flowers. Somehow, he feels that shouldn't surprise him.

He doesn't wave, but he does give her a nod.]

'Sup. [He looks over the flowers, trying to figure out what exactly she's up to. Hell if he knows, though.] ...You probably shouldn't sneak up on people. Just a tip.

[He handled it fine, but. Well, that's him.]

Sorry! [She starts to duck into the flowers again and then realizes halfway through that that's a terrible way to keep herself from sneaking up on people, and pops right back up.] I didn't mean to...

[although!! she slooowly starts crouching again] Hehe, is it really that tough to see me in here?

No harm done. Ya didn't scare me or anything, but I know you wouldn't wanna give someone else a heart attack. Or spook the horses.

[He pats the one he's standing by at the moment.]

You blend in pretty well with the flowers. And you're not that big.
cherrypuncher: (even though you leave me)

[She nods, laughing sheepishly, and shuffles her way on out of the flowers—she's carrying a basket with her, and it's got a few flowers in it among the pile o' snacks she's brought along on her trip here.]

Have you been taking care of the horses? [She's all sparkly-eyed about them; living in the city severely limits one's horse interactions.]

A little. They don't need much taking care of, it seems. Someone else must be doing that.

[He looks the horse over a little again, like that'll solve the mystery somehow.]

I always liked horses. Don't really get many chances to be around any these days.
