[ WEEK ONE ]

WEEK ONE

CURRENT POPULATION: 40

It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.

... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!

After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to [plurk.com profile] robowest.

[ Damn... What's the truth. ]

Then... Does that mean you're not going to play along? If we're not dead or alive, maybe... it should be okay, right?

Of course not!

[Said like this should be obvious. Congrats, Russell. You've engaged a Teen HeroTM.]

Are you seriously thinking about playing along? [Dude????] There's no excuse for murder, and even if there was — we don't know if good ol' Hal was telling the truth. Anyone who doesn't stop to think about that is looking to get their butt kicked.

[Sorry, but not sorry.]

If we want to get out, then we make our own exit. Anything else shouldn't even be an option.

[ Teen Hero... So passionate!! What is it like to actually have morals, Jason. ]

Uhm... Maybe... A lot of people tell me it's bad, but I still don't get it.

[ Killing... Is bad? Sort of? He really doesn't get it. Sorry, Jason, you might have to kick this kid's butt if that's the case. ]

. . . Well, if you know how to get out of here I can help..? [ That's better than killing, right. ]

[Morals are terrible, so it's okay. Maybe his adult self would have laughed at Russell, but as his sketchy adult self isn't here.............]

What is there not to "get"? Killing people is wrong. Nobody should get to decide whether another person lives or dies. That's all there is to it.

[Butt kicking will be imminent. Please increase your guilt level by at least 10%, bro.]

... I don't know yet, but I'm looking. I think I could get the train running again if we had a way to pop the conductor's cabin open.

Is that so... Hm. I guess.

[ He'll just... Think on that, maybe. It might stick with him, it might not. Who knows. Where are those guilt levels when you need them...!? ]

Have you tried breaking in yet? It's not like that train is guarded... Right? [ at least ,he doesn't remember them being. ]

[personal profile] impulsiveness 2017-01-19 07:45 am (UTC)(link)
I did.

[He doesn't look too happy about that, however. Which probably means bad news.]

Percy and I thought it was weird we didn't see anyone come out of the conductor's cabin, so we checked it out just in case someone was hiding there. Tried picking the lock, but there's something keeping the whole thing shut. My theory is there's another mechanism inside.

[ There goes THAT plan. ]

It there's a lock, then there's obviously a key... He could either keep it in his office, or in his pocket.

[ Just Steal it from him. The answer to everything. Though, that would prove a little difficult. So, even if Russell can think of whatever ideas he can, they feel pretty hopeless, honestly! He won't be much help, sadly. ] I don't really think there's a way out... The sheriff guy probably won't answer our questions so we have no choice but to do what he says.

[ what a debbie downer. ]

He could. Wouldn't put it past him to place everything we need right under our noses. We just have to find the right opportunity.

[Okay, but stealing is very legit. Jason will add robbing the Sheriff blind to his mental To-Do List since it's... not an entirely terrible idea.]

Not with that attitude, there's not. [Russell, stop. Cheer up!! Don't be such a Debbie Downer!!] Like hell I'm doing what the Sheriff says. You shouldn't even think about it, either. They don't get to decide what happens to us.

[ WHAT IS IT LIKE... TO CHEER UP!!! Please teach him Jason. ]

I... Suppose?

[ Russell just blinks - he closes the book and returns it to the pew. Look the last time he was trapped in a place he just kind of rolled with it. So that's his default attitude: no hope, time to die. ]

Then if I shouldn't listen to the sheriff, then who should I listen to? I'm pretty... Lost here.

That's a no brainer. You should be listening to yourself. Listening to someone else all the time is just asking to get screwed over.

[Like it's... obvious? Though, man, he's starting the get the idea that Russel isn't very okay. Please love yourself, buddy.]

[ Russell is ... Sort of fine...? ]

I can try..? [ ... Ok, but, to admit if you really want Russell to think for himself he'd actually just go on with the killing because that's the game here but people keep telling him killing is bad??? What's the truth. ]

If I shouldn't listen to the sheriff, then what should I do instead... [ GIVE HIM TIPS. ]
