WEEK TWO

CURRENT POPULATION: 40 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss. This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. Actually, she still can't process it. Her extremely limited understanding of how anatomy and bodies work is kind of failing her, here. Was that a ... was that Tiara's head?

What ... does that even mean?

Xion has no anger at all on her face as she approaches. Again, the horrible smell doesn't seem to bother her at all. She just has this little uncertain frown on her face. ]

What are you doing?

[ It's not an accusation - it's an actual question. ]

[ He just looks over at Xion mildly before continuing to toss some more wood into the bonfire. ]

Burning her body.

[ tilts her head. apparently, this idea doesn't really bother her. ]

Why's that?

Gotta deal with it in one way or another. Had to make the fire, figured I'd use it for something useful.

Oh. [ that makes sense!

look there isn't even the remotest idea of "proper burial traditions" where she's from this in no way offends her sensibilities ]

I guess it was sort of pointless to bury her then, huh... [ yikes. ] Well, at least we know now. What'd you need to make the fire for?

Sure was, but I ain't gonna stop you from putting in the effort.

[ The other question gets him to shrug. ]

Dunno. Suppose I just had to.

Really? So we could keep doing that, even if there wasn't any point? [ Huh. That seems ... unnecessary. But burial seems important to the others, too, so maybe that's a good thing?

His response wins a blink, and after a moment ... Xion just nods, apparently uncritically accepting that answer. ]

Okay. Is it something you have to do every week?

Probably. Still gotta keep doing this though.

[ And then he considers this for a moment. ]

Er, hopefully not? I'd appreciate if no one knocked it down but I suppose I can't stop ya.

Oh! [ She gets what he means. ... and then thinks about the "knocking it down" part and frowns. ] Oh. I ... I'll try to keep an eye on it for you.

[ A tip of his hat. ]
