It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss.
This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to robowest. |

[The corpse tree bothers him. Of course it bothers him, it's not what he was expecting and anyone nearby can see him staring at it for a moment before shaking his head and walking away.
As such, people can find him around town, though most frequently then can find him sitting in front of the hotel on the porch, Mrs. O'Leary snoozing in the sun and Percy playing with a deck of cards. It looks like he's playing solitaire, but it's more for the motions than anything. If he keeps his hands busy, maybe it'll help him think. Of course, anyone's free to interrupt him or tell him that he's wasting time. That's fine, too.]
Tuesday
[When he gets bored with that, he finds himself at the watering hole as usual. His clothes, for once, are actually on the dock under Mrs. O'Leary who's guarding them while Percy swims through the lake. Wet boxers? Who cares, he's getting used to this. Still, anyone who approaches will find him floating on his back and staring at the sky, oddly content with himself. If he spots someone familiar (hell, even unfamiliar), he'll turn his head to watch them for a moment.]
It's almost starting to feel like the distance is less every time I end up out here. Getting away from town, too?
Wednesday
[He seems to be poking around in the general store, but it's not clear what he's up to unless someone heads back into the hotel mid-day Wednesday and the lounge on the first floor. He's sitting in front of a lit fireplace balancing what looks like a shovel and a frozen pizza.
Yeah. So that's happening. Trying to cook a pizza with a shovel, good job Percy. Upon hearing footsteps or being interrupted though he'll tilt his head back and grin slightly.]
Do you think this counts for creativity points?
Wildcard
[Or just hit me for anything else throughout the week. He'll be around checking on people at varying points, but for anybody he comes across (especially if he knows them), he'll greet them with:]
How're you holding up?
[alternatively, hit me at
Wednesday
I applaud your creativity, that's for sure.
[He approaches to take a look at what's on the shovel]
What's that?
[Turns out princes in steampunk worlds don't tend to see pizza very often. Does it even exist in his world?]
no subject
I'm gonna guess you don't mean the shovel. This--[He gestures.]--is a pizza. You've never seen one before?
no subject
[The word sounds a bit familiar, but not that much. THe pizza doesn't look half-bad]
Is it common in your world?

[But it sounds good, that's for sure. You know what, let him bring his own frozen pizza. It isn't like there's much to do in this town, trying this kind of stuff is bound to entertain him for a while.
But, uh, it's frozen. Tarvek knows food is bound to be frozen, yeah, but maybe this is a quirk of pizza he isn't aware of. May as well ask instead of making assumptions, even if he knows he's going to look like a really sheltered person]
Is this normal?
no subject
Not really. Frozen pizza exists but it's not as good as real pizza. I guess this was as good as we're gonna get, but I'm surprised this showed up at all.

wednesday
... I hope for your sake that someone didn't just use that to bury or dig up a corpse, but... well, is it working?

Well, it would be easier than your very creative means, though I won't deprive you of your shovel-cooking if you enjoy it.

tuesday
Barnham quirks an eyebrow from the dock, fully dressed still.
He may not be wearing his armor anymore, but that doesn't mean he'll just strip down like Percy.]
... For a moment, yes. I suppose you are fond of the water, then.
no subject
What gave it away? [There's a short laugh, but he doesn't move at all. To be fair, it's also probably easier for Barnham to see the trident portion of his tattoo. So yeah. Water.] Water, at least, makes sense. More than this game does anyway.

[PERCY...]
I suppose there are more foolish actions to be taken, though very few.

[DON'T YOU SASS HIM.]
I am simply concerned still that we do not know if that lake could be contaminated or harmful as of yet.
no subject
Mr. Barnham, with all due respect I think I'd know by now if it was contaminated. This isn't the first time I've done this. It was one of the first things I checked.
tuesday? c:
[The sound of the water is soothing, in an odd way. He'd spent so long trying to get off Destiny Islands... and now, in this town, it's the only thing that reminds him of home. Of the worlds he's left behind.]
Just as long as someone doesn't end up murdered here, too.
[It'd be a shame to destroy the one refuge from the horror show that is the rest of this place.]
no subject
[That's also a disadvantage.] I don't think people would want to walk an hour to get out here just to do something like that.
no subject
I'd say it's more likely someone will try to hide the body here.
[Drowning is also an option, but that would involve a murderer tricking their victim into coming out to the watering hole in the first place...]
no subject
[...like he's thought about it, but that seems like a stretch.]
no subject
That's fair. They could always use a horse to transport it.
[But talking about murders like this, so casually, brings him to a different thought. Riku takes a seat on the dock, absentmindedly reaching out to see if Mrs. O'Leary will let her pet him.]
Maybe we should take another look at that list and see if we can come up with something useful from it. It hasn't done us any good in the past couple weeks.
no subject
Percy, meanwhile, continues to float along.]
You mean the wanted list? It could be something to look into since we know at least last week one of the bandits was on it. Unless you mean the original list you and I talked about with everybody who's a murderer.
