WEEK THREE

CURRENT POPULATION: 35 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss. This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. [ She was coming in to look around but—okay, she's taking the plate without complaint. ]

Have you been doing this every night?

[ Thank you for your help, Rin! Chane busies herself with scrubbing another plate but shakes her head, no - not every night, just some of the time. Honestly, it's been a decent source of quiet time. People rarely seek to help of their own accord.

Speaking of -- through a quick gesture, Chane shows Rin where the plate goes after it's dry. ]

[glaring]

Mm, it's been a strange week so I didn't even think about the dishes.

[ ...though now that she's seen it, she'll probably be helping most nights. With a quiet "thank you" she's putting the plate away in the right spot, then reaching for the next one. ]

[tightly]

[ And the next one is handed to her! Chane makes an efficient engine of cleanliness, although - (for obvious reasons) - she is dreadful at keeping the conversation going. Sorry, Rin. It's not you. ]

[glaring]

[ It's okay, she's picked up on that so she's just continuing on, partially to herself. mostly talking various kitchen things, food, the usual. once they're done, she'll give her a polite smile. ]

I'll make sure to get somebody to come help you next time, if I can't.

[ SHE'LL MUSCLE SOMEONE USELESS INTO HELPING. ]

[ Interestingly, that does get a response!

Chane attempts to demure, indicating through haphazard gestures that she doesn't strictly need anyone to help, don't go to so much trouble on her behalf, she can do it herself if need be.

What Rin takes from this unfortunate game of charades is entirely up to her. ]

[glaring]

[ ....ah... ]

You need to go to the bathroom and need a girl to accompany you? That's fine, I don't mind.

[tightly]

[ Wh...at... ?

Chane just stares. Incredulously. ]
