CURRENT POPULATION: 35 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss. This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. Higekiri-san had a flower that was important to him, and he asked me to press it if I could find it.

[She's skipping out of the flower patch and over to Shinnosuke, though, as cheerful as ever again.]

I think I should take a break for now, though. It doesn't seem like that much fun to dance all by yourself without any music or anything!

[... Yuna, stop it. He sighs, because okay, that's the end of that joke (maybe he should stop joking like this around Yuna, it doesn't seem to work too well—).]

And it's a gentian flower. I wanted to find a green one.

Instinctively, he analyzes her movements, as he tends to do when he sees anyone fighting—if they're strong, and what that means in a labyrinth if he has to work with them or if he has to kill them.

Not quite as relevant in this place, but it's a habit, and he supposes it's not irrelevant either in the event that Yuna becomes a Bandit or something...]

Heh. So you've been trained in combat?

[He tries to remember what a gentian flower looks like—unsurprisingly, he's not really a flower person.]

... I'll keep an eye out.

[Yuna's expression softens and she practically beams at him. She doesn't think Shinnosuke can completely understand just how much it means to her to follow through with this; Higekiri never got to see the flowers she taught him to press, and the way so many people lashed out at him so soon before they sent him to die still hurts her to think about—but Shinnosuke knows it matters, takes her seriously.]

Thank you, Shinnosuke-kun. You have to pick them a certain way, so will you show me instead of taking it if you do find one?

[BUT ON A MORE EXCITING NOTE, and she is genuinely really excited, clutching her hand into a detrmined fist.]

Yeah! I take martial arts lessons with my dad. I'm kind of out of practice, though...

[Thank the fact that Shinnosuke can understand Doing Questionable Things For Your Sibling, so he... well, he doesn't begrudge what Higekiri did, and perhaps he feels a bit more sympathy towards him than he normally would for someone in that situation.]

Wouldn't have expected that, considering you run around like a maniac on a sugar high.

Wouldn't have expected what? Having all this energy just makes it easy to stay fit! [PUNCHES THE AIR yuna that was definitely an insult, yuna, honey, please] Haha, but the way things were for a little while, I couldn't practice anymore... It's mostly okay now, though!

I wouldn't have expected you to be out of practice—why not put some of that energy into training?

Though I suppose that's not everyone's first thought in a place like this.

[Then again, Yuna's head is a special place and he's not going to pretend to understand it.]

It's not that! It's just that I got really sick a little while ago, and since I couldn't do anything, I fell behind... Obviously I'm much better now, though! [She punches the air in front of her again.] I'm a little out of practice still, but that's just because I'm working on catching up again! Of course, things are so busy here that I don't think about that as much, yeah...

... I'm pretty sure you're still very sick, but just in another way.

In this kind of place, though, it's dangerous to fall behind.

... The point is that dealing with other people is a pain.

[Complaints brought to you from a guy who's more used to honing his skills through life-or-death experiences or simulations rather than sparring.]

You do better if you get to practice with a partner, though, instead of just hitting the air! That way, you don't look like you're doing a weird dance all by yourself, either.

[Ugh, he hates that he can't deny her logic in the first bit, which is... why he's going to ignore it and just address the second part instead.]

I don't really care what other people think I'm doing.
