CURRENT POPULATION: 35
It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss.

[ And he was like "why the heck not". Especially since he really doesn't know what else to do in this weird wild west town.
But... Oh! You know, he really didn't mean to make tXion cry, so lately he's been rather antsy around her because he didn't want that to happen again... Yelling makes him extremely nervous. ]
Lately, some other people have been yelling at me... But I still don't get why. Uhm... But thank you though, you don't have to worry about it... So, it's fine.

[ Xion braces her hands flat on the dock, looking at him for a long moment. ]
So, what is it that's confusing you? Maybe I can help.

[ Russell will search through the box of bait he has, attempting to stick another piece of bait on his fishing pole.
He does stop what he's doing for a moment to think about it... ]
Uhm... Are you sure? You don't really have to... Where I was before... People were trying to do the same thing, but it's not really working.

[ She smiles at him, warmly. ]
So, why don't we talk about it?
[ Here comes Pluto! Xion gives a little laugh, reaching out to take his stick. ]
Do you want to keep swimming, boy?
[ When her answer is an excited bark, Xion tosses the stick out into the lake, and Pluto goes splashing away again. ]

[ Russell can only tilt his head a bit, curiously.
His eyes glance over at Pluto, watching as the dog bounces happily to return to the lake to swim some more. Well, Russell can at least admit the dog is cute despite not being well adapted to animals.
Then back to Xion... ]
But... You seem to understand things pretty well. [ He can only sigh. Though, it's not like he has anything better to do, he'll at least sit down on the dock while he's at it. ] At least more than me... So, I don't know what you mean?

[ That produces a strange sort of smile. It's not a happy look. ]
Maybe I've just had a chance to learn a lot of things. There's still a lot I don't understand. Like...
[ Xion pauses, hesitating over this admission. But maybe, if anyone would understand, it'd be Russell. ]
Remember when everyone was upset that the Sheriff burned Tiara's body? I ... didn't really get it. I still don't. [ She tilts her head, staring at the water thoughtfully. ] Why does it really matter? She was already... [ A pause. ] I didn't want to ask anyone, though. It seemed like it might upset them.
[ She glances at him, her expression soft and open, even if she isn't exactly smiling now. ]
So, have you ever had a hard time with something like that?

[ That's all he knows, though, he's like 100% sure the sheriff wasn't doing a funeral procession SO. Even he's still confused why people were so upset about it, even after they all voted for Tiara too...
After a small pause, thinking about her question, he gives her a small nod. ]
I mean... Yeah, with almost anything. I just don't know a lot of things, and they scare me... And I have no one to ask about them... So I just don't know anything.

[ She bobs her head slightly to one side in sort of a nod, sort of just a gesture of acceptance. ]
I may not know either, but if I don't, then at least we can try and figure it out together, right? I won't get upset. [ A beat, and: ] At least, not again.
[ Somewhat sheepish. ]
