WEEK THREE

CURRENT POPULATION: 35 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss. This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. Oh! Really...? I guess that's why they kind of exploded.

[ Eh heh. ] Um, I think so! Hang on.

[ She'll trot over to the refrigerator, digging through it until she can pull out a carton and deliver it over to the counter. ]

Here! I got these this morning. There's still plenty left!

Awesome. [He's taking the bowl and opening the carton.] How many did you use?

[He's not going to tell her he didn't bother reading the instructions. Just go with it.] And why a cake anyway?

Umm... three!

[ Xion takes a moment to go clean out the bowl. It's a lost cause now, so they have to start over. ]

Well... I just wanted to try, I guess. It seemed like fun, and... I thought I could share with everyone. [ Somewhat sheepish. ]

[hydrokinetics]

[It gives him time to take the eggs out, though he pauses and there's a quiet laugh at that.]

You're really working hard to make sure people are happy here, aren't you?

[ That gives her a start, and she back at him with a blink. When she looks away, it's with a much more thoughtful look on her face. ]

... I guess ... I want to do what I can.

And yet it surprised you that Yuna threw a birthday party for you. [He'll take the clean bowl and start cracking eggs into it.]

What about you? What is it that you really want to do?

[ Xion watches the motions of his hands without really seeing, though she will automatically reach out to take the bowl once he's done. Let's try beating these eggs again. ]

... I want to protect everyone, [ she says softly. ] I want ... to get everyone home safe, more than anything. I don't know how to do that, yet, but I'm going to keep trying until I figure it out.

[He'll let her, but he'll be close by monitoring to make sure a repeat performance doesn't occur.]

I think you're doing something good by trying to keep everybody's morale up. That's one of the most important things here. And it's important to want to protect everyone and everybody getting home safely, but what about after that?
