CURRENT POPULATION: 35 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! Ugh— Don't remind me. [His expression is souring immediately.] I'm still creeped out he managed to do all that without waking me up. I'm a light sleeper. Even a needle hitting the floor gets me out of bed.

[Which makes him think he was drugged, or the Sheriff can teleport at will. Ew.]

You do realize that means they could be pulling any number of things under our noses, right?

I haven't been able to figure it out. It doesn't make any sense to me how he could have done it without waking any of us up at all. There's still a lot of people in that hotel. Somebody had to be awake even if you weren't.

[But there's a grim expression.] But yeah, definitely thought of that. Way to make themselves even more suspicious. I'm afraid to ask, but what do you think our worst scenario really is?
