It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss.
This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to robowest. |

... I'm guessing that means you didn't find Seizaburo.

No. It was just Natalie. I heard banging, like someone was knocking on wood... and when I realized it was coming from the clinic, I went to check it out. That's when I heard Natalie call out. She was trapped under the floor. But ... it was just her. I didn't get to see very much, but I think the tunnel past her was empty.

I'm not hurt.
[ Sort of a lie. Mostly the truth. ]
I just wanted to let everyone know as soon as possible. I want to go see Natalie again, but I'll get cleaned up soon. I think you can go talk to her, but ... she's really tired. It might be better if you wait.

I'll leave it to others. I might make her cry, after all, and you'll all be after my head for that.
I just want to know what the hell's going on here.

(She doesn't really believe he means it. And even if he does, he's not doing it, right?) ]
... I dunno. The tunnel Natalie came from collapsed almost right after we got her out of there, so we can't check to see if anything was there.

[He runs a hand through his hair in exasperation.]
Anyway, you're not about to keel over, are you? It's bad enough that we have to babysit Natalie.

[ She says it with a bit of an edge despite the fact that she is still not putting weight on her injured leg. ]
no subject
[Well, he'll leave it to Xion to look after her own well-being, as long as she's not about to actually die.]
Anything else to report?
no subject
She'll have momentary regrets when she has to walk back to the clinic, but, like, whatever! #worthit
Slowly she'll just shake her head. ]
I think that's everything. [ For a moment she frowns, considering, and then shakes her head. ] I think we'll be able to answer a lot more questions once we can ask Natalie what happened. That just might not be till tomorrow.
[ And given that today is Thursday, that does present certain problems. But they may not really have a choice. ]

Yeah. Yeah, it does.
just assuming people around hear gomen
You said she was under the floor of the clinic? [ShIttTT WHAT!!] Did she get there from the mines?
IT'S TOTALLY COOL FRIEND
Yeah. And I don't know, but I guess she must have. She hasn't been able to tell us much. She wasn't ... doing that great when we found her.
[ as probably evidenced by All Of This Blood ]

...he hates he left them without help.] Is she conscious?
no subject
Yeah, she is, but ... she had a really rough time. Dr. Lecter had to perform surgery on her. [ She can parrot these words, but she has no real understanding of their meaning outside of what she actually witnessed today. ] She needs to rest.
no subject
She could lose vital information only retained in short-term memory if she doesn't at least try to talk about it some.
no subject
If it registers with her, that idea of memory distortion, she doesn't give an outward sign. Not a clear one, anyway. The look of concern on her face sharpens, but she doesn't seem upset. Just ... worried. ]
I'm not going to stop you if you want to talk to her, or anything. I'm just really worried about her. Please just be careful, okay?
no subject
Are you injured?
no subject
Which is a bad idea, as she accidentally puts weight on her right foot. This produces both a full-body wince (half out of surprise, half out of the pain itself) and a hiss before she quickly shifts again.
........... ]
I'm fine, [ she mutters, embarrassed and stubborn. ]
