CURRENT POPULATION: 35 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss. This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. How long have you been practicing medicine, anyway? I didn't peg you as a surgeon.

[ tbh I don't know either and I'm trying to cut back on my sketchy google searches LAUGHS. There are things to clean up, and the sentiment is how Hannibal finishes Jason's sentence: ]

[ which we fucking dID JESUS CHRIST. But. Hannibal is much calmer than I, Christy, am, so his eyebrows raise lightly at Jason's interest, but he nods. ]

This is perhaps not the time to say it, but technically speaking, I am not. I have not held a certification for many years. [ it's fine to know that after the fact right? ] But it was what I began my career in medicine as. Surgery is intellectually fascinating to me, but the work itself I realized quite quickly did not suit me. I disliked not knowing my patients beyond their names. And a single failure felt to be one too many.

[ He speaks of it calmly, but not casually. He clearly holds that choice with a lot of weight, even though he does shrug lightly. ]

So I instead turned to psychiatry. An odd career change, but I have practiced the latter for most of my life.
