[ WEEK FOUR ]

WEEK FOUR

CURRENT POPULATION: 28

It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.

... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!

After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to [plurk.com profile] robowest.

[A pause, because she suddenly has roughly 100 questions.]

...Did someone separate them? Can I ask why?

. . . it's a long story. But the short of it is yes, they were separated by my predecessor. The Lord of Spirits that existed before me.

He did so in order to protect Rieze Maxia from technology known as Spryix that those from Elympios had begun to develop.

And... You undid it? Or helped to, at least.

[The question she's asking might not be explicit, but it's hinted at all the same.]

Maxwell himself was the only one who could officially dispense with the Schism, but my comrades and I managed to convince him to do so.

[a beat]

Ah, but we had to rescue him first. He had been "kidnapped" by someone who wanted to keep the Schism in place.

If he did it to protect people, why did you decide to take it down?

[gosh she keeps asking for the complicated parts of this story]

. . . Elympios's use of Spyrix technology had left that portion of the world mostly dead. The citizens of Elympios knew about Rieze Maxia, and intended to use the mana produced by its citizens as a sort of energy source for their dying world.

In order to stop this plan, and allow the two worlds to co-exist peacefully with each other, the Schism needed to be destroyed. The destruction of this barrier produced enough mana to provide life for both worlds and negate the dangerous side effects of Spyrix usage.

[only for a short period of time, but it was still something]
