The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this:
One of your own is gone.
And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate.
Welcome to the investigation post! If your character decides to search an area, please post the name of the location in your header and wait for the mod replies. Anything to discover or not to will be indicated during the course of the thread.
After the body is discovered, an announcement will be made and characters are free to spend the rest of the afternoons how they like. If there are any questions, please shoot a message either to this journal or at robowest.

Are you and Mr. Barnham okay? And how're we getting multiple murders now? That really wasn't a standard I was hoping to set.
[And then, awkwardly:] ...also Yuna got mauled by coyotes and I don't really know how to do first aid for normal people.

I'm really not doing so bad, so please don't worry too much...
[SHE'S DOING PRETTY BAD, ACTUALLY, BUT]

Stop. [It's mostly a calm, gentle sort of murmur but firm enough to get across to stop.]
no subject
But I'm not! [pause] Sorry.
no subject
It's okay, Yuna. Just...chill out, okay? We'll get you fixed up before tomorrow and you can be really intense then if you want.

Well, I'd volunteer but... [WAVES A HAND IN FRONT OF HIS FACE.]

All's well that ends well, right?

[It's not all's well that ends well, but it's all his own issues and rhymes with "Bananabeth" so. Sorry.] Unless you actually have something useful to say, save it for tomorrow.

Forget about us, is she going to be okay?!
[ papika knows how to do... some first aid but... she is probably not the most sanitary person right now?? where's dadibal ]
no subject
Bath when you get back to the hotel, okay? The last thing we need is you getting sick from swimming with...all of that.
no subject
Yeah I'll... go do that... someone needs to bring the bodies inside though. There's, uh, crows? At the dock.

Let me stand, I'm alright. I can just lean on you.
[ But the body announcement - and Yuna's condition - both worry her. She's not really the one who needs attention here. ]
All the way out by the lake... all the murders have been in town so far. Why now?
no subject
I don't know, but I think you and I need to talk later.

Here. Let me carry Yuna. I can take her to the clinic and then make sure she makes it back to our room safely.
no subject
Thanks...your ribs doing okay though?

Jason is just. Going to sigh and point in the clinic's general direction, before gesturing for Percy to either hand Yuna over to him or help him get her there. Considering Jason is barely inches taller than her, one option is better than the other?? Or not. Just do whatever as long as he can give her first aid while Dr. Dad gets here.
Why do coyotes happen so much.]
no subject
Do me a favor, go with Milla and help her get Yuna fixed up. Let me know that everything's okay once Dr. Lecter signs off, unless you know how to treat bites and gashes like this. [An inhale.] I trust you to take care of it.
no subject
Probably.
And off he goes with Milla, presumably.]
