It's time to go. Most people are on the train by now. Settled into their cabins and among friends and loved ones. There are only three new arrivals left to board and once they do, Hal pulls a conductor's hat out from underneath the bar, tugs it on, and steps around it to the middle of the train. He opens his mouth to talk, voice filling the train. "It's time to go. Stops happen once a day until everyone's departed and I already have your stopped listed. If you'd like to be prioritized, let me know, otherwise we'll go in order of death. Settle in and enjoy the ride. If there's anything you need, don't hesitate to ask, folks." This, of course, means that those who died earliest (Manfred, Higekiri) will depart first while those who died latest (Barnham, Damian, Percy) will depart last. There's a stop for everyone, though those who want to get off together are more than welcome to. Hal pulls a notepad and pen out of his pocket later and people will notice that he goes around the train confirming stops with everyone. Whatever feeling Hal may have had to a character back in town isn't noticeable here -- he is simply a robot assigned with a job. After that, it's all a matter of settling in and enjoying the ride. If that's possible for you, at least.

I'm hoping so...as much as I'm mad about what Russell did even he doesn't deserve that.

... We're working on that. I'll make sure Russell learns how to value life in general a lot more.

I'd say go easy on him because he's a kid but on the other hand he kind of seems crazy. So you're definitely taking him?

Yep! He kind of had a rough family life, from what I've heard, and it's not like he'd be the first kid I've picked up from a battlefield.

[ And a nod, satisfied. ] It'll be fine.

[hydrokinetics]

[A nod.] I guess I can't talk since I'm taking three people back with me. Kind of.

... Kind of?

[hydrokinetics]

Kind of. I'm sending them back to my world to my mom's place, but that's not where Annabeth and I are going. We still have the world to save.

[alcobrawlic]

... It never ends for heroes, huh? At least you'll have a fun homecoming.

[hydrokinetics]

Nope. We're on call 24/7, but I'm looking forward to the homecoming. Going home...sleeping in my own bed...seeing my mom again? It's something. [A grin.] And then I just gotta survive for five more years before everything will be the way it should be.

... That's an oddly specific amount of time, Percy.

[ Five?? ]

[hydrokinetics]

Tell that to Annabeth. She's the one who said we had to wait until after college. [He rolls his eyes almost fondly.] It's just another challenge for me to face.

[ PERCY?? ]

[hydrokinetics]

[He lifts an eyebrow. Words, Sara.]

[ Shut up, Percy. ]

You proposed?? Seriously??? First I get one-upped by a whatever-Ash-is and now--!!

I thought Ash was just a robot? [Does he have to be more concerned now??? But he doesn't even look the slightest bit embarrassed.] But yeah. Figured it was better to do it now while I could.

[alcobrawlic]

... No one can say you're not straightforward. [ Except, for... you know. When he's killing people. ]

I owed it to her. Plus who even knows what crazy things will be trying to kill us in five years? It's a guarantee for something good in the future.

[alcobrawlic]

Well, I can guarantee you probably won't have a boring life.

[ Marriage, though... it's hard to imagine. ]

[hydrokinetics]

Is it bad that I'm kind of hoping for one when I'm as old as you are?

[That. Could have been phrased better, whoops.]

[alcobrawlic]

... And who is old now?

[hydrokinetics]

People...older than you? [Eh heh.] I never said old was really a bad thing, you know. It's kind of a goal for me.

There's a better way to phrase wanting to grow up, you know.

I guess. But then again, there's a difference between growing up and getting old.
