INVESTIGATION

The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this: One of your own is gone. And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate. Welcome to the investigation post! If your character decides to search an area, please post the name of the location in your header and wait for mod replies. Anything to discover will be indicated during the course of the thread. After the body is discovered, an announcement will be made and characters are free to spend the rest of the afternoons how they like. [ They are super duper gone! Both cell doors are open and both girls are gone. Are they going to look elsewhere in the station? ]

[Well. That sure is lovely. Jason will shoot Ana a look, uncertain if this is good or incredibly bad, before inspecting the cell doors themselves. Does it look like someone pried them open, or was a key used?]

... Think it'd be too much to hope they're both alright?

[Yeah that's about what she expected. She's going to check the gun cabinet nearby while Jason checks out those cell doors.]

Unfortunately I'd have to say so.

[ For the cells, there's nothing wrong with either of them. They've most likely been open with a key.

And the gun cabinet, seems like it was left perfectly alone. Huh. ]

The cell doors weren't forced open. The Sheriff must have taken them out.

[Of course, he only feels more uneasy after remembering the second meaning of "taking" someone out. God. He moves to the desk, then. There's probably not going to be any convenient maps leading to the girls, huh?]

Has the gun cabinet been touched?

Not by the looks of it. Everything is in its place.

[Makes sense, seeing as they all have their own weapons.]

Except for those girls, it seems.
