The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this: One of your own is gone. And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate. Welcome to the investigation post! If your character decides to search an area, please post the name of the location in your header and wait for mod replies. Anything to discover will be indicated during the course of the thread. After the body is discovered, an announcement will be made and characters are free to spend the rest of the afternoons how they like. [That's a feeling in the air that Ana is all too familiar with and she's not at all surprised to be waking up to it. Just. A little disappointed but holding on to the sliver of hope that it's a misplaced feeling.

She's going to mosey on over to the Sherriff's Station along with that Jason fellow and see if there's anything to be seen over there. She's bringing that pistol, though.]

Saloon

[Based on nothing more than the fact that alcohol and violence often go hand in hand, she heads to check the saloon.]

[ Well, the moment Lust approaches the Saloon, the first thing she'll be able to see is blood, coating the swinging doors. Would she like to keep going inside? ]

[It was the last place they really saw the Sheriff outside of his station and it's the first place Percy thinks to check. So. How are things here?]

[An investigation is a necessary part of any murder; Barnham's lips are pressed into a thin line, but he just silently nods to Percy and steps forward.

Why don't we check around the hotel? Let's start with the lower floor and have a look through the common areas. Is ... there anything important here to notice... this is nerve-wracking. ]

[Ocelot is heading up to the homestead to check on the horses he's been training with Simon. DD (wolf with an eyepatch) is walking alongside him. If DD smells anything weird, he's going to bark.]

Something's amiss, and rather than walk blind and see if he can find anything, Riku's making a beeline for the graveyard, and the forty graves it holds.

There probably won't be anything there. He knows, and he hopes that.

And there's a shovel and graves and and body and shit? Whoa there.]

[Tarvek arrives not too long after him, having looked for Yuna to prepare her for the corpse of one of her jail friends. The two graves do catch him off-guard, though. That's not what he expected]

Has anyone seen the other girl?

[Yuna gets all of her sobbing out of the way surprisingly quickly—it's some pretty intense and gross sobbing, sorry to all of the friends she just cried on and probably got her boogers on too, but it's hardly even minutes before she's focused again. She takes a few steps back from the group at large, wipes her eyes with the back of her hand, and doesn't bother trying again when new tears just well up to take their place.]

He-hey—Hey! [For all of that, her voice is surprisingly steady, and she's impressively loud.] Miss Tiara wasn't in her cell, was she? That means she's still out there! We've gotta find her!

[She looks everyone over, tries standing a little straighter.]

Nobody should be alone right now, so we should go in groups! If we keep two or three people together, we can cover more ground, and a few people can stay here, so let's hurry up and decide who's going where and get going! [And she turns to a few specific people—] Hero Club, I need you right now! Help us get organized! She could need our help, so we have to hurry!
