The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this:
One of your own is gone.
And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate.
Welcome to the investigation post! If your character decides to search an area, please post the name of the location in your header and wait for mod replies. Anything to discover will be indicated during the course of the thread.
After the body is discovered, an announcement will be made and characters are free to spend the rest of the afternoons how they like. If there are any questions, please shoot a message either to this journal or at robowest.

... I had a feeling ... [ wait sei what the hell. ] Are -- are you okay?

[Honestly, the glass scrapes are nothing compared to what Ao suffered.]
But I didn't get there quickly enough to do anything. She was already...

[ It's her job to notice things. Reconnaissance. Report back. Pay attention. All her training, paying off. ]

[Sei bites her lip and looks down.]
If we assume that this death was because of the sheriff's game, then... she had to have died last night. The rules said that's the only time a death would count, right?

That's right. The same time curfew is enforced, too. So .... whoever did this ... they had to have been planning it, and they somehow did it while the rest of us were in the hotel for the night.

[On the other hand, if the killer was the other girl from the jail, then none of them would have noticed...]
I wonder what would happen if someone deliberately stayed out past curfew to try and keep a watch out for something like this...
[death by coyotes probably]

[ And. Hopefully. Not. Kill anyone. ]

[More like definitely would be, but hey...]
It's something to think about, at least. We still have to find this killer... let's talk more about it once we've done so.

You're right. Let's ... let's focus on that, first.
