The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this: One of your own is gone. And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate. Welcome to the investigation post! If your character decides to search an area, please post the name of the location in your header and wait for mod replies. Anything to discover will be indicated during the course of the thread. After the body is discovered, an announcement will be made and characters are free to spend the rest of the afternoons how they like. But shuffling out of the Sheriff Station with new mental trauma!!! Jason heads to Town Hall, regardless of who follows him or not. He looks at the main room first, trying to see if there's anything out of place.]

Did anyone search this place before the graveyard fiasco?

I didn't. I went to the church and... well, you can figure out how things went from there.

[Manfred decides to take his mind off the nude sheriff by peering into the small room that housed the metal gurney while Jason and Shinnosuke inspect the main room.

It had caught his attention on the first day, but maybe today, there would be something new in it THAT ISN'T THE SHERIFF IN HIS BIRTHDAY SUIT WOW.]

[ Claire just kind of drifts around as the others inspect for clues. He seems to be more interested in the company for now. He also doesn't answer the question as it's obvious where he was at the time of the search.

So, anyone got any theories? What about that other doll whose grave we dug up?

You mean Rin? [That's who he assumes.] What theories are we supposed to have? The corpse we found doesn't belong to her.

[And, handwaving that Yuna told them to check the hotel!! That's where Jason starts to head next.]

Well, we might as well check her room while we're at it and see if she's really just sleeping in, or something. Unless one of you has seen her today?

I haven't seen a girl resembling that skeleton, no. [A shake of the head.] But it's clearly a fake.

Still, we ought to confirm for ourselves that she is still around and not hidden away by the...sheriff. [Ugh. That is a mental image he could do without in his entire lifetime.]

Well, who's to say she isn't the suspect? [ Of course that wasn't her in the grave, that thing was way too decayed. ]

Even if she isn't, I'm sure Jason Todd would want to know why their names were chosen in particular.
