The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this:
One of your own is gone.
And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate.
Welcome to the investigation post! If your character decides to search an area, please post the name of the location in your header and wait for mod replies. Anything to discover will be indicated during the course of the thread.
After the body is discovered, an announcement will be made and characters are free to spend the rest of the afternoons how they like. If there are any questions, please shoot a message either to this journal or at robowest.
[ Well, the moment Lust approaches the Saloon, the first thing she'll be able to see is blood, coating the swinging doors. Would she like to keep going inside? ]
[Visible blood is certainly out of the ordinary. For a degree of normal, considering the circumstances. If the rules of the game are to be believed, there's no danger now.]
[So with a small sniff, Lust approaches the door, but calls out before investigating further.]
[Well, Lust got someone's attention, at least. Eliot happens to be nearby and heads towards her. Halting right next to her, looking at the door. And... damn. Damn, yeah, okay.
That's blood alright.]
...You gone inside yet?
[He assumes no, but just getting all the facts straight first.]
As the enter the saloon, they'll notice this: the place is a mess. There are some knocked over chairs and tables, all covered in smatterings of blood and near the bar is broken glass and blood sprayed kind of, uh, everywhere. Most especially though, there is blood heading from the center of the mess to the second door of the saloon, facing the train tracks. ]
[Lust keeps herself comfortably in the middle of her impromptu escort, more than happy to let one of the others take the lead, and keeping Ezio at her back. The place is a mess, clearly there was a struggle here.]
Either someone managed to flee while injured, or a body was moved.
[He mutters under his breath as he moves further into the saloon. Ezio examines some of the broken glass, trying to see if it was a bottle, a glass, two bottles, or totally unrecognizable. It's important to understand what seems to be a weapon??]
One of us should stay here, I'd think... Another could follow the blood. Unless anyone has any better ideas?
[ It was only one bottle, looks like a bottle of root beer. Most of the glass shards seem to be around a chair by the bar while the rest spill into the blood. ]
[Tarvek touches the blood. It seems to be real blood, but where's the body? Huh.
Without saying a word, he leaves -- although not to follow the blood -- having noted there's no corpse in the saloon. Enjoy your possible crime scene, you three]
Saloon
[Based on nothing more than the fact that alcohol and violence often go hand in hand, she heads to check the saloon.]

There's blood spill, here! The bar!
[Just in case.]

Aspetta! You shouldn't go in alone.

Let's all go inside, then.

[Unless they were dealing with a particularly stupid murderer.]
