The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this:

One of your own is gone.

And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate.

It's despicable. I thought our look into them was bad enough.

I know. At least we were polite to, y'know, not look into anyone else's.

Think it's our fault that they decided to shove her here like trash? Doesn't really seem like a coincidence they picked one of ours.

The dirt was probably still soft, so it may have been out of convenience. In a way, I guess it is.

She would have been killed regardless, though.

I know. But knowing it was convenient makes me feel like an accomplice to murder.
