It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss.

[ papika has a very, very strong sense of smell. so it's really the smell of the fire that she notices before she even sees it. she approaches, covering her noise and wondering if someone is like cooking food very badly or something but no. that is not what is going on because there is obviously no one here who would eat people.
there are a few seconds where she just stares blankly, not really sure what she's seeing after he tosses what looks like a head in.
and then she just goddamn lunges at the sheriff because she is gonna punch the shit outta him what the fuck ]
[ Unstoppable force, meet immovable object! She lunges but he doesn't really stumble back or anything. Just looks mildly surprised someone's attached to him suddenly. If she doesn't attack him immediately after the lunge, he just sort of stares blankly and goes -- ]

[ But if she does start wailing, he just lets her and looks disgruntled. It's very much like hitting some very heavy metal and will definitely injure her hands the more she goes. ]
[ she definitely had been about to start punching the crap outta him because she does not need hands?? but then elizabeth grabs her. papika is definitely struggling against her grip as she gets dragged away. ]
[Elizabeth is not very strong but she's doing her best here to keep Papika at bay]
I won't! It's the one thing I promised Tiara, that I'd stop people from trying to harm the Sheriff on their own, that trying would only get them hurt!
[She digs her feet into the dirt in her effort, Papika could likely break hr hold without much trouble, but Elizabeth is hoping her words will reach her first.]
[ luckily for elizabeth, mentioning tiara does do the trick. papika stops struggling so suddenly that it makes her stumble a bit before straightening up again. ]
