It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss.

[ Of course she's listening and, of course, Chane's not interrupting. She had purposefully situated herself near enough to the music so as to prevent the likelihood of being disturbed. If that didn't work? Well, she has a book in her hands, and looks reasonably engrossed.
When Hannibal asks, she looks up, finding the distraction inoffensive. With a pleasant cant to her head, she nods.
And then, because he's engaging her specifically, Chane leans somewhat from her seat to pass along a neatly written note, ] Your playing is lovely.
[ Why did Hannibal ask the mute girl this question?? a mystery. But. He's pleased that she doesn't seem annoyed by his interruption. He knows it's a bit rude, but after playing for quite a while, he'd also like a break. So far, he's enjoyed Chane's company as well as her conversation. ]
Thank you. It's only a hobby, but it's one I love nearly as much as cooking.
[ He places a hand on the wood of the panels, and he shakes his head lightly. ]
Though it's also another surprise that it's here. It's not simply a harpsichord, but my own, personal one. There is no other like it.
Immediately, Chane's gaze cranes over her shoulder, peering up at the stairwell that leads to the upstairs. For once, her thoughts are completely and wholly telegraphed in every sinew, every fold of her expression -- "You brought that down here?" ]
[ He smiles with light amusement, because he definitely understands her surprise here. He nods, but at least elaborates so it makes slightly more sense. ]
I brought it with help. It took up enough of the room on its own to be uncomfortable, so Will helped me bring it down here.
[ It was definitely really stupid and Will threatened to drop it a lot. ]
[ It's a comedic picture, the thought of the two men struggling to get the instrument down the narrow lot of stairs. Had Chane been more accustomed to smiling, she might have done so then. As it is, curiosity dissolves into an impassive expression, one that can't even be called a frown. ]
That was kind of him.
[ Is this the start of Chane having shipper dokis?

He's a kind person, despite his rather acerbic personality.
[ Which would seem to be statements at odds with each other, but, nah, Will is an asshole, but mostly he's just super bad at talking to people. ]
