[ WEEK TWO ]

WEEK TWO

CURRENT POPULATION: 40

It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.

... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!

Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss.

This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to [plurk.com profile] robowest.

Please. Everything should be right there, but for the sake of being specific, two sprigs parsley, two sprigs thyme, and one bay leaf.

[ Hannibal definitely gives these instructions with the assumption that she'll know what all of these look like, but he's also busily and a bit showily sauteing what he has. It's the complete chef image of tossing things in the air with the pan and catching them without losing a single piece. He's honestly too much. ]

And it will be a while, but you're welcome to have some, Yuna. [ i won't call her yuki-chan i promise ] If you're being my sous-chef, I'd be rude to exclude you.

[Yuna starts towards the herbs, remembers she's been rolling around in the homestead all day, quickly shuffles to the sink to wash her hands first, spends a moment gaping at his cool chef tricks because she is all about this level of Extra, and then returns to tie the herbs together.]

If it was good before, it should be good now, but, um, maybe double-check... Here you go! [She doesn't have any faith in her herbs knowledge... When she passes the bouquet over, it's arranged as cutely as possible, like she's making a flower bouquet, and tied together with a perfect bow.]

Really? Aah, thank you! It smells really good... [she loves...to eat...... waiting is going to be a struggle, she is so hungry, but she's going to do her best, it will be worth it] What's next?

[ He takes the herb bouquet and smiles appreciatively. He takes a look at the herbs to make sure that they're correct, which they are, but what gets him to smile a little more is the neatness and the bow itself. It's not quite how you traditionally tie a herb bouquet, but he hadn't specified further. It's endearing to have it prepared like flowers, and he tosses it into his pan. He adds stock right after, which sizzles against the hot pan. ]

It does. It's one of the reasons I like beef bourguignon. It's very fragrant, and you can nearly taste the dish in the smell alone.

[ He looks to the oven where it's cooking, making a thoughtful noise, then nods. ]

Do you think you could drain the beef while I finish this? I can walk you through the process.
