CURRENT POPULATION: 35 It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings. ... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours! Except there is, perhaps, a few things amiss. This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. Dang it. That's his wanted poster. Tarvek stares at it grimly, unhappy about it. He remembers last week Higekiri's poster was in here, and he ended being drafted as a Bandit. Coincidence? Who knows. It doesn't make him happy to see his STILL MISSPELLED GODDAMNIT wanted poster right there]

Why?

[He's been asking that question often nowadays. But yeah, he's standing there, wondering about it]

Does the Sheriff choose random people, or does he have method in his actions?

[Tuesday Night

If you go to the Homestead by the evening, you'll find Tarvek around, making preparations for an overnight stay. Blankets, food, lanters, other similar implements, everything he'll need to stay vigilant. He told Harry he would try to find out why the Homestead farm was so well cared for in comparison to everything else, so he will. It's something that interests him as well, yeah. Want to ask him about his plans?]

I've been wondering that myself! I do have a theory... but I kinda hope it's not right.

Well... a lot of us like the farm, right? There are a few of us who go and visit the animals, make sure they're okay. So if there were a lot of groups like us that passed through here... they'd be pretty well taken care of, wouldn't they?

[Tarvek doesn't seem particularly bothered by the theory. Instead he tilts his head, considering it]

No, it doesn't fit. I remember when the Sheriff finally explained what was going on he mentioned past groups, but he also said there was a new theme for their town every time this game happened.

Unless many themes had this farm in them, I don't think past victims had anything to do with it.

[Well, now that he thinks about it, it's a theory that can't be ruled out, either]

They might! At first I thought maybe somebody lived under the farm, but I didn't find hidden doors or anything like that. I guess it wouldn't be that easy, huh?

Doesn't seem there's much of a pattern to it, least not one I'm seeing. So yeah. Random sounds right.

Not sure. Guess we'll have to wait and see. But I think it's best if we keep our guard up even more than usual. Just to be safe.

[Well. This is odd. Riku is in fact near the homestead in the evening, as he's made himself a fairly cozy hideout in the barn's hayloft and has been sleeping there almost every night for the past couple weeks.]

Planning on camping out?

Yes! There must be a reason why this place is so nice compared to the town. Observing it for a day and night should give me some insight about that.

[He hasn't, no. He's got some makeshift bedding up there, so he's not lying down to sleep on straight hay bales any more, but hay loves to get everywhere so there's probably some small bits every so often.]

This place is just as dangerous as the town is. [There are plenty of makeshift weapons on a farm.]

People just don't come out here as much. It feels undisturbed by everything else going on.

No matter what happens to the rest of us, here it's the same old stuff, day after day.

[The cows and the chickens don't care how many people have died so far.]
