The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this: One of your own is gone. And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate. Welcome to the investigation post! If your character decides to search an area, please post the name of the location in your header and wait for the mod replies. Anything to discover or not to will be indicated during the course of the thread. After the body is discovered, an announcement will be made and characters are free to spend the rest of the afternoons how they like. ... If anyone's wondering, we found four bodies totally melted next to the [uh] tree — and some hair. Blue, blonde and gray. Are we missing any of our corpses?

Did you find anything else while you were looking?

A rifle was buried in Valestine's grave.

Only one bullet had been used. If it hit anything at all, it would have been a fatal shot.

Did you find someone like that?

One of the skulls Rin, Shinnosuke and I found had a hole on the forehead and on the back. We thought they belonged to people who already died here.

That, or they were incapacitated and they shot them at point blank. Kind of superfluos to use a rifle if you're going to do that, though.

[Piping in to add onto Jason's remarks:]

Four skulls, to be exact. So if you've found anyone's head [like Riku??] it's not them.

Could also be someone already established to be dead, like the two earlier this week. [...] Otherwise... yeah.

[And adding more to this Nancy Drew routine:]

Two of the skulls were smaller than the others. One of those might be Ao's. The bigger ones could be Manfred or Higekiri. Their hair colors match. But who would the fourth skull belong to?

Seems more likely to me it's the two from the mines... Ocelot's hair is gray, anyway. Still dunno who the fourth one would be, though.
