The town is quiet, eerily so. All animals, all chatter, all gusts of wind have come to a complete stop this morning. A tumbleweed passes by through the center of town and the rocking chair on the Sheriff's porch sways but remains silent. Everything is muted and as the door of the hotel opens, the only sensation that rings utterly true today is this:
One of your own is gone.
And now, as the rules state, it is your job to discover their fate.

Yuna! [Annnd making a beeline for them.] Xion's right, Shinnosuke's fine. [An asshole, but fine.] We need to be more concerned with you right now? Shinnosuke said you fought off a bunch of coyotes.
[And considering Percy has fought the coyotes here...too bad he only got to kill one :(] Scale of one to ten, how bad does it hurt?
[DON'T PUSH HER THAT HURTS????? She makes a hard oof noise when she hits the floor but she settles easily enough when she hears Shinnosuke's fine.]
He didn't get hurt? Is he still in the stocks? [She sighs, shaky but so, so relieved, and even manages a friendly, if thin, smile when Percy walks in.]
I'm okay. [That isn't a number and it also is patently untrue but she could be doing a lot worse.] It doesn't hurt that bad.
"That bad." [He shakes his head.] Milla's probably going to let him out, I left that up to her. We need to get you out of here and over to Dr. Lecter or somebody. [He looks at Xion as well, frowning thoughtfully.]
Both of you need to relax. [He pokes Xion in the forehead.] You are going to undo everything you've been healing up if you push too hard and you--[A gesture to Yuna]--need to listen to Xion. Okay? I'm pretty sure I can carry both of you just fine.
Gods, why are you both difficult? [Implying that he wouldn't be doing the same thing? And without warning he's moving! He's moving and casually picking up first one girl and then the other, juggling so not to aggravate injuries or, like, fall on his ass. Oh well.]
[ well, whatever. Xion just kind of accepts her fate, leaning into Percy and making whatever adjustments needed to minimize the difficulty he has with both of them. ]
She's okay, [ Xion murmurs. Can she reach for one of Yuna's hands? Can she do that??? She's gonna do that. ] Actually, besides you, we don't know who...
[They're close enough they can be cute and hold hands, whatever. He isn't stopping them.]
We're gonna go find out. [A shake of his head.] That's where everyone else is going to be, so it's our best bet to head that way. Are you guys okay with that?
[you're damn right Yuna's gonna be cute and hold Xion's hand, squeezing it reassuringly.]
If Milla and Shinnosuke-kun aren't there already, I want to see them first, if that's okay. [A pause to catch her breath again, before she adds,] I'm really happy you four are all right.
[ Xion laughs and squeezes Yuna's hand, still marveling at the feeling of the ten ton weight that was the fear of Yuna's death having lifted off her chest. ]
We're the ones who're happy! There was just blood and -- well, you're alive. We're here. That's what matters, right?
She has a point. [And off they go, starting to head for the gathering of Whole Ass.] You had us pretty scared for a bit. I think Milla and Shinnosuke are probably heading that way, too. It's about that time that all of us need to be present and see...you know.
I'm sorry I worried you, Xion. I'm okay, though, and we're here so don't worry anymore.
[But in the meantime, here comes Milla, and Yuna beams, shifting to hold her less-awful arm up and wave even as Percy's carrying her.]
Milla! You're here! Aaah, be careful... [And then she ill-advisedly leans sideways to make sure she can see Shinnosuke, too.] Shinnosuke-kun! You're still here! I'm so happy you guys are safe...
[oh no she's tearing up. she's gonna cry. almost dying wasn't an issue but she's so excited to see them all alive at once that she's getting all misty oh no]
[... Shit, that sure sounds like a pure calling out to him. Shinnosuke can't really do anything, seeing as how he's STILL IN THE STOCKS, but damn it, at this rate he's going to have to thank Yuna in person.
