It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

[He's playing for a bit. Hell, he makes it a pretty good way through the song. Eventually, though, he stumbles slightly over one of the words and he trails off when he does. It's natural, of course, since it's been a while since he played or listened to this song. That job was a while ago.
Still, there's a bit of a frustrated growl there.] Damn, no. What was...
[Now he just moves back to strumming his guitar a little, trying to remember how the song went.]
[.....oooops. Sei had told herself she was going to stay quiet and let him do his thing - she didn't want to make him awkward by making it obvious that she was listening in - but her curiosity overtakes her, and of course she speaks up.
Sorta, anyway. Her name's Kaye Lynn... She and her brother got scammed by this corrupt asshole. So my crew was gonna get back everything he stole from 'em.
Me, uh... Me playing the song she wrote was kinda part of the whole plan. Which is when she helped me play better. [He smiles just a little at the memory.] ...Things might've not stayed, ah... entirely professional.

[She smiles. Aw, he's all bashful, how cute!]
Just long enough to know you're really good at that! Where did you learn to play?

There's the slightest frustrated growl at getting caught like this, but that's only a moment. Don't pay it any mind, he's just like that.]
...I dunno, picked up the basics of it when I was a kid. Got better about a year or so ago, when someone showed me the ropes.
This song's hers, actually.

[Sei grins and scoots forward a little, like she's waiting for storytime. (Sorry Eliot.)]
Was it a special someone?

It was work related, technically speaking. Had to help her out of a bad situation.

[TELL HER THE STORY, because now she is intrigued.]
So you saved her? I bet she was really grateful!
