It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

[Aaaaaaand there are stars in Sei's eyes. Barnham has officially earned a spot near the top of her list of favorite people, which means it's going to be a struggle to knock him off of that.]
Wow! That's amazing... I think you'd really get along with my comrades from home.
...I hope you're able to make it back to Labyrinthia as soon as possible!
[He loves Labyrinthia, so it's not like talking about it is a bad thing... there's a long pause as he contemplates how to begin, and then--]
The citizenry may not always be the brightest or the quickest, but they are hard-working and dependable at their tasks. The town itself is pleasant, with each person having their proper place in the Story. That is due to the Storyteller, who--

... Rather.
It is generally a calm and peaceful place. You would likely enjoy it, if you are not searching for adventure.
Sei has a look on her face like she dearly wants to ask for more information. She's never been especially good at hiding what she wants - she's an open book. But she respects Barnham, so since it seems that he doesn't want to talk about it, she'll let it go for now.
(But only for now. He'll tell her eventually, she's sure of it.)]
It sounds lovely. I mean, I don't really get what you mean by the Story, but... it sounds like a nice place to relax, and if the people are dependable, then they'd make very good neighbors.

Your well wishes are most appreciated, Sir Seizaburo.
[he's going back to jail but nobody has to know.]
Should ever the opportunity arise to meet your comrades, I shall look forward to it.

...also she'd totally offer to bust him out of jail if he said that]
I think they'd like you a lot! [Or at least she thinks Okita would, and let's be real, his opinion is the one that matters most to her.]
...I'd love to be able to meet the people you care so much about, too! Someday. If you're so driven to protect them, they must be really great!

Ah... yes.
[...great.
They're great.
For sure.
No doubts.]
I shall hope as well that you are given the opportunity to see my fair city as well.
[If nothing else, he sure does love Labyrinthia.]

[Another would be getting to meet everyone who's stuck here at all.]
What is your city like? Can you describe it for me?
[STORYTIME.]
