It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

Oh, I wouldn't worry, I'm easily captivated. Let me share something with you, then, seeing as how we're in the company of furballs. Did you know that not one but three dogs survived the Titanic disaster? Considering how well the pooches are doing here, I'd say they're impressive creatures.
I take pride in all my professions, as you may have already heard me talking about one of them. Although if I had to say what my current job is, then it's being married to the most beautiful partner in the world. Yeah, convincing Chane to love me back is my proudest achievement!
I do. [ It's said with an unmistakable certainty. ] Old man Tony taught me everything I know about trains.
Oh, but don't bother asking me to start this one up. There's no way in as far as I know, it might as well not even be an actual train. [ Which is... possible. ]

[ That's hilarious!!! Says Will, crazy dog man. But he looks a little surprised at the request before nodding. ]
You aren't going to lecture again, are you?

So go ahead, tell me something interesting.

I don't have much to share, actually. Kind of boring that way.

I know. I have ten of them back home.
[ Crazy dog man instead of a crazy cat lady. ]

[ Basically. ]

That's not a fact that impresses most people, Mr. Walken.

Most people can't take care of one dog and here you are keeping a whole ten of them alive. Take pride in your work.
no subject
Alright, I will. And what do you do for work then? To take pride in? [ . . . ] Other than talk at length with unsuspecting dogs.
no subject
You understand, don't you?

Chane, more so than you, I think. Hannibal did the courting.
[ Which is embarrassing to like, say, out loud so -- ]
... You have to know a lot about trains then, huh? If you were a conductor.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's not a normal train at all.
