[ WEEK FIVE ]

WEEK FIVE

CURRENT POPULATION: 25

It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.

... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!

After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to [plurk.com profile] robowest.

[A mature young man that he is, Jason only has one response to that: No, you.

Too late, he moves to block Damian's view of the dog. Not a whole lot to be done about that, unfortunately, but he's not getting a second look at the corpse if Jason can help it. Either way, he shifts his position, signing out one more message—

If you can walk, up.

Before helping Sara prop him up, if not offering him a hand altogether. Speaking of which: sorry for the "secret" conversation, Sara. He'll, uh, write shit down later once a 10-year-old isn't hacking up blood and mucus.]

[ It's all good, she's just assuming it's boy talk. Sara's just going to make sure Damian can actually get up-- and even if he can, she'll be tagging along to the clinic anyway. ]

So maybe keep the dogs indoors for awhile...

[It's unfortunate that both Sara and Jason are dealing with a Wayne.

By the time he gets up to his feet, he's rolling his shoulders and arms to get them off of him. And, you know... he's promptly going to turn right around and try to go by or through both of them to get to the dog that's still lying out in the middle of the town's road.

He needs!!! to bury!!! the DOG!!!

[Yeah. No. Damian may try to turn around to get to that doggy corpse, but Jason isn't having none of that. Reaching out, he'll try to grab him by the back of his shirt to keep him from making a beeline for the dog, looking completely and utterly unimpressed.

Assuming Damian doesn't avoid it or wriggle out of it, Jason's just going to push him Sara's way?? She looks like she knows how to deal with a 10-year-old. Kind of. Maybe. Point is — please help him herd this child to the clinic before he kicks his ass and makes it worse.]
alcobrawlic: (Go get yourself wet)

[ Oh, sure. Damian may be a feisty ten-year-old, but Sara was also a feisty ten-year-old and has also wrangled a thirteen-year-old hyperactive operative and beat up way too many teenagers to count.

So yes, if Damian stumbles her way, she will put forth her best effort to slide her arms under his from behind him to lock him into place against her and bodily haul him off that way. She'll be doing her best, anyway. ]

Dripping blood on him isn't the most respectful thing you can do for him right now. We'll come back.

[Absolutely, Damian could kick Jason's ass. But there's a dead dog, and his nose is busted, and he's gagging on blood, and he's Tired.

He tries to drop down so he can snake away from Jason, but Sara gets him firmly from behind, and he wishes he could stick both elbows sharply back into her ribs.]
Release me!

The dog didn't deserve that! [The desperation is real, but it's somewhat hilarious when he sounds like he has a congestive cold.] It needs to be buried properly!

Todd!

[Damian can complain and shout all he wants, but Jason isn't about to let him run off to bury a corpse. Not now, anyway. With a firm shake of his head, he mouths Thank you to Sara. Seriously, thank you.

As for Damian, he signs: Coming back later. Not leaving it there. Calm down.

So?? Goodbye, dog corpse. Jason will start moving towards the clinic, regardless of how much of a fuss Damian makes.]
alcobrawlic: (Okay that's enough singing)

[personal profile] alcobrawlic 2017-02-16 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I promise, we'll take care of him. So-- [ She nods to Jason with the wry smile of someone who has probably done more kid wrangling than she's ever wanted to do, but.

Yep, time to drag Damian to the clinic. ]
bittybat: (yall pray for me so i can)

[personal profile] bittybat 2017-02-16 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[:'( DD! Such a good and pure dog that wagged its whole butt for him at the homestead that one time. A TRUE LOSS. SQUEE!

But fine, Damian goes only because he thinks, perhaps, he'll have a chance to escape and come back to bury the dog himself. Properly.

What he doesn't appreciate is being hauled, so he snaps his shoulders and arms, pops a boot against the top of Sara's knee more gently than he could, and flops out of her hold onto his feet. Instead of booking it, he continues stomping ahead in the direction of the clinic, not bothering to glance back.]
