It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

[Strangely subdued and quiet, Percy finds himself spending most of his time now following Annabeth's advice and walking Mrs. O'Leary around town. He can also be found on the porch of the hotel with a stick that he'll throw for her to play fetch. The dog is willing, but Percy seems to be doing it for her entertainment more than his own.
Of course he notices the post office. He feels his heart sinking, but at the same time...he wonders. He can't bring himself to try and stop it, knowing that this town will do as it wishes. He just hopes that his letters got through.
Regardless, you can find him either just staring at the town or Mrs. O'Leary will bring her stick to you to throw.]
b.)
[Alternatively, he can be found sitting on the dock at the lake. Mrs. O'Leary naps in the sun and Percy seems to be trying to skip rocks across the surface. This lake is tainted now. The whole town is tainted, but it's too depressing to stay there. So he remains here. For anyone who appears, they may hear him say:]
You know...now would be a good time for your once-a-year appearance.
[But that's all. He just seems disappointed more than anything.]
wildcard;
[Whole Ass sure is fine, isn't it?]

[she overhears Percy's statement, and she can't help it when her curiosity is piqued]
A once-a-year appearance of what, if you don't mind my asking?
no subject
...my dad. [He has no shame in saying so at this point.] Once a year is actually pretty good for him, actually.
no subject
Only once a year?
[she inclines her head and, not knowing any better, inquires further]
What is he doing that is so important that he can only see you once a year?

I don't think there's anything wrong with hoping that one of those messages would reach you all the way here.
no subject
[But enough about that.] What are you doing out here anyway?
no subject
There's more space out here for me to practice. And while it's just as quiet here as it is in town, the lake doesn't have the same stifling quality to it.
[or so she feels, anyway]

Everyone keeps scolding me about my ribs. I promise you all, I'm fine. I wouldn't be doing something if I wasn't capable of it.
[actually she would, because who cares about the limits of one human body when her spirit wants to press forward!! but shhhh.]
I don't anticipate having to use it, no, but that doesn't mean I don't want to prepare myself just in case.
no subject
You would, actually. I know that much about you by now. But it's okay, I won't tell the others.
[He glances at the sword again.] You're overpreparing which is the good thing. Nobody can say that you aren't ready for whatever's happening next.
no subject
Of course.
Besides, it'd also be foolish of me to let my swordsmanship skills rust because I wasn't using them.

"Riding a bike?" What does that mean?
no subject
Uh. A bike is a form of transportation that's got two wheels so you have to learn how to balance yourself. That's not the important part, Milla. It's all just muscle memory.
