 CURRENT POPULATION: 40
It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.
This post functions as the general mingle post for the week. Wanted Posters and other small events will be posted in top levels below. If there's any questions or requests, please send a PM or shoot a PP to robowest. |

There are wanted posters everywhere. They're not 'most wanted', but they're like profiles about every resident around. Tarvek has been walking around, reading the posters and committing to memory everything that could seem useful, until he stumbles upon one that has his face.
What the hell]
"Tarek"?! They didn't even bother getting my name right! What's wrong with this place?!
[He's so incredibly offended about that. Look, they got everything else right, the least they could have done is write his name correctly! What kind of badly done kidnapping scheme is this?
Saloon
Tarvek is still messing with the playing piano. He presses a few keys, listens to the music it's automatically playing, and starts looking for a way to open it up. He has no tools, he wants to see if there's anything that could be of use]

If you manage to break that somehow I am not going to be happy.

[Poor Tarvek hasn't realized his astoundingly excellent skills with machines has been tragically nerfed. He has noticed he's having a harder time than usual with his mental processes regarding science, but he's chalked it up to being tired]

[IS THAT THE SHERIFF'S REAL NAME???]

[Presumably she at least accepted that at some point.]
Big star in a bunch of movies that took place in ridiculous settings like this.
no subject
Ah, you mean he's a character in a play. I see!
[There are plays with a thematic like this one, he's sure of it]
It'd be a strange source of inspiration. Western settings may not be the first choice anyone would make when it's about getting people to kill each other.

You want the short list or the long list of what's wrong here? [He reading the poster, too, but he's not absorbing most of it before he looks at Tarvek again.] That's a little reassuring. Means they aren't completely watching us, maybe.

[What's his name? Uuuh...oh, Percy Jackson! The guy with all the signs of a troublemaker, according to the poster! With some luck it's a bit exaggerated because damn that was a lot of crimes]

[That's...not what Percy asked, but yeah. It's likely the Sheriff made these himself, somehow]
It's a psychological thing, trying to make us paranoid and see everyone else as potential murderers.
no subject
[It's all he can guess, but at the same time he gets what Tarvek means.] It might work if we didn't have time to talk to people and judge for ourselves, and, you know, we weren't kidnapped here against our will. [Just a thought.] Are you worried about any of these people?
no subject
Besides the Sheriff? I'm rather concerned about those who have 'murder' in their wanted posters. [And he knows very well that includes you, Percy] I'm not saying their posters are accurate, but if they had that written on their posters then the Sheriff must think of them as potential killers, at the very least.
no subject
The Sheriff might count murder as somebody accidentally pushing somebody and sending them over the edge of a cliff. I don't think his qualifications count much. [That is to say he knows that definitely includes him and he's very much not entertaining the idea of explaining that.]

[Well, the dude wasn't disputing his name.]
no subject
[It's making him sound like some kind of insurrectionist rebel]
no subject
[He says that very slowly, as though savoring the taste of that word - or the mystery of a badly worded crime. Meanwhile, he makes no move to cover up his poster.]
Shall we expect you to defy the sheriff, at the very least?
no subject
[Yes, you may expect Tarvek to defy him, but he's not going to attempt to destroy him unless he's confident of what he's doing, and that moment isn't near yet]
I'm not going to play along his plans, but I'm not prepared yet for taking action against him.
no subject
[A shake of his head, in mild frustration. As much as Manfred wants to burn the sheriff's plans to the ground right now, he can't act carelessly.]
