It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

Thank you! [That's for the additional vegetables!! Yuna's still working on her pile...]
I will be, thank you, but I think it's going to be okay. After all, they trust me, too. [Yuna may not seem the type, but she thinks these things over an awful lot.] They just met me, too, so I could be anyone to them, but they still let me bring them food every day, even though we're in such a strange situation.
["strange" is one way to refer to the murder and everything but okay yuna
But she cheerfully dumps some vegetables into the steamer, then beams up at Ana.]
[Yuna's cheery smile warms Ana's heart and she gladly returns that smile gladly. She's such an optimistic and hopeful girl and while it's admirable, it still gives Ana cause for worry.
Still, she moves on.]
No thanks needed. Though I must apologize, I haven't introduced myself. [Sets down that knife to nod to Yuna politely.] I'm Ana, pleasure to meet you.
No, I'm sorry, I should have remembered! [She sets her vegetable work aside, too, to bow politely at Ana again.] I'm Yuna Yuki, second year student at Sanshu middle school. [And she smiles up at her, bright as can be.] It's really nice to meet you, Miss Ana!
[Middle school wow. Wow that sends a feeling into Ana's heart-- a warm, hurtful pang.]
Yuna Yuki.. Oh, you're the girl behind that "Hero Club" aren't you. [The air quotes are strong.] I've been meaning to ask about it, I'm curious. What do you intend to do with it?
Yeah, I am! Or—it's my friend Fu's club, really, but she's not here, so I set up the box and stuff! [The strength of Ana's air quotes isn't enough to take down Yuna, who sounds incredibly proud of herself.] And I'm going to do whatever has to get done with it! Even though things are bad here, I want people to have a place and a person they can turn to if they need anything. If everyone's less sad, scared, and alone than they would be without that, we can do a better job working together to keep each other safe and find a way home.
[Alright Ana doesn't want to squash Yuna's dreams she just wants her to be aware of what goes into it. Her voice has a maternal "please child I'm serious and want you to make your own decisions but listen to what I'm telling you and listen good" tone as she speaks.]
Yuna I sincerely admire your intentions and I have no doubt you'll work hard to do what you say you will. That's why I'm speaking to you about this seriously. I wouldn't bat an eye at this were it not for the situation we were in. Much as I hope that the people of this town won't participate, I'm certain that there will be senseless killing sooner rather than later. People will need help, they'll need to band together. Since you've stepped up to the plate as a "hero" of sorts, some might turn to you. You might find that you've bitten off more than you can chew but you can't back out, not after all that. There is so much you'll have to deal with, things that even I can't predict entirely. Someone could turn to you with work that you can't properly fulfill, how will you deal with that? Someone you worked so hard to protect might die. People may drop a note in that box only to get you alone and kill you.
[She pauses for a moment to take a breath.]
I won't sway you from it if this is something you truly want, I've said my piece. I just want you to be fully aware of what may happen in a place like this..
[Yuna sets down her work almost right away, and her smile fades when she looks up at Ana but her determination doesn't. Ana's taking her seriously—she notices this first. She isn't the first one to critique Yuna's decision but even concern for her so often comes with dismissal, with doubt. Her usual ditzy display doesn't always inspire confidence, so Yuna can't exactly blame anyone for that, but Ana takes her seriously. Yuna can't tell Ana about the Sanshu Middle School Hero Club's true purpose or what she's been through, but Ana deserves an answer of equal weight.
So Yuna meets Ana's gaze, and she beams.]
Thank you, Miss Ana. [First, the important stuff.] For worrying about me, but also for understanding.
[She brings her hands to her heart, using the moment it takes to consider what it is she wants to say.]
I understand that I'm still really young, and I still have a lot to learn about things like this, about being a hero, and about everything else there is to learn stuff about. But I promise, even if I can't completely predict what I'm getting into, I have a better idea than a lot of people probably think I do. I understand if you can't, but I have to ask you to trust me on that.
Even if I'm scared or hurt, I want to help people. I know that being a hero means never backing down, so I'm not going to, no matter how difficult or painful things get. If I fail at something, I'll try again. If it doesn't work, I'll try harder. Even if I'm not prepared for everything that's going to happen here, I'm prepared to get back up again every time I need to. I swear it.
[She lowers her hands, folding them neatly in front of her, and tilts her head just so.]
I know this is what I want to do, so I'm going to give it my all. Thank you for believing in me.
[That sort of determination and zeal is both admirable and dangerous. Very dangerous. It reminds her of her daughter, who grew up surrounded by heroes and dreamed of the day she would join their ranks. The thought pains her a little.
Ana nods, not really at Yuna or anything in particular. It's moreso accepting what's been said and mulling it over in her head. This is about what she was expecting to hear, though still she finds herself surprised. It's doubtful that this girl is quite so capable but Ana still finds herself more inclined to believe her than not. From the start she wasn't going to stop her from doing this and she's not about to now. It's up to Yuna to make her own mistakes. Even life-threatening ones.
Still, that isn't going to stop her from taking some sort of action. Ana always looks out for friends, family and the innocent before anything and fuck if she's going to let Yuna go out on her own.]
If that's the case then let me join you. I've got a fair more experience than you and.. well it's best we heroes stick together.
