It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

[That was actually an interesting short story. Tarvek listened intently. Biology and living beings weren't something he specialized in, but he could appreciate the events nonetheless]
That? I'm sorry, what you see is who I am. There's nothing entertaining about me.
[For the moment it seems like a good idea to keep a low profile and not tell anyone he's the Storm King -- or so he plans -- even if it may prove disappointing to Nisha]
Sure. Well, either that's true or you're just saying to avoid drawing attention to yourself while you're worried about what's going to go down here, and either way means you're pretty boring to me.
[ She says this casually, though, as if she's commenting on the weather, not particularly critically. ]
[Tarvek raises his eyebrows. Violent woman, this is. He doesn't say it aloud, but his body language does show a certain amount of interest]
I'd be enchanted to listen to the story of your life, Ms. Kadam.
[He's trying to disguise his budding interest behind mannerisms. Finding out the extent of Nisha's violent behavior is important, at least to know how careful he needs to be around her]
What, all of it? There's a lot there to tell, you know. I don't usually just start spilling everything to dull-sounding guys I meet on the street. You wanna hear how my dog died? My mom? Or maybe me?
Maybe you should just stick to my chosen profession. I'm a sheriff myself. Sheriff of Lynchwood.

What's 'interesting' to you, anyways?

[ She is also mild about this, but watches intently for his reaction. ]
