It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

[ She never! Said! Herself! Haha! Her?? Powers???? Noooo........ ]
That's kind of what I was thinking. We could even just try running away. But ... did you hear what he said, about what would happen if there were a stalemate?

[He quirks an eyebrow at that, somewhat apprehensive already.]
What is it?

[ Xion shakes her head, frowning. ]
He just said there was something that would happen. [ Tarvek had been the one to ask about it, which was why it had caught her attention. ]
So ... if we do something like that, we'll probably have to be ready for consequences.

[And it sucks.]
We must remain on our guards, and continue in the vein that you yourself are already doing--attempting to find a solution.

I'm glad ... you're willing to work together. Not everyone is. ... what's your name?

[There, there, Xion, it'll be okay.]
It may merely be a matter of motivation that is required to get the others to work as a cohesive group. There will be a way.
