It's a rather quaint town when you get down to it. At least, that's what the Sheriff would argue. Warm and dry in the mornings and afternoons with a brisk coolness in the evenings. The perfect type of weather to just sit out on your rocking chair and observe the comings and goings.
... Of course, there's not much in the way of comings and goings when there aren't any actual people here to watch. Nevertheless, don't let that get you down! The town is your oyster and those roosters won't stop crowing until everyone's out of bed. Up and at 'em, rise and shine, it's time to make the day yours!
After all, there's nothing wrong with the town today and you might just want to savor it while it lasts.

Fine. I... I am sorry to burden you with all this, but there's not an easy way to explain it. At least not without you jumping to more conclusions...
My entire family was accused of treason. I was 17 years old. My father had sent me on an errand, and when I returned he and my brothers had been arrested. I tried to free them, I brought documents to the Gonfaloniere that proved their innocence... But they were sentenced to death, as was I. I watched as they were hanged, barely escaping with my own life.
As for my father's innocence... as I said there were the documents and he was a close friend of Lorenzo de' Medici. They did not care if my family was truly guilty. My brother, Petruccio... he was 13 years old. He was sickly, he hardly left the house. There is no "reason" for his death, no truth to these accusations. That is why I tore down my poster, Elizabeth.

[As Elizabeth listens she regrets even asking. She had no right to make Ezio relive the events by telling her, a practical stranger. She's known no family in her life beyond songbird, but she had love for him once and can imagine what it must be like for that to stretch to more people. Though to have them murdered infront of his eyes, that is a feeling she can't and hopes she never has to fathom.]
[Ezio takes a deep breath. He doesn't seem quite as affected as she is, but it might be because their deaths are always on his mind. His sadness turned to anger a long time ago.]
But it is a reminder that we must focus on escaping this place somehow... I am needed back home, and I will not be controlled by those who make light of their deaths for their own entertainment.

[Treason is a high crime, whether he's innocent or not. Though Elizabeth has seen good reason for people to turn against the higher powers.]
